The Remedy Yourself Self-Esteem page. You may not believe you're such a wonderful person. But we do. Read below for ways to improve your self-esteem. You will be so much happier once you believe in yourself.

Please read this first.

  1. First take a look at yourself in the mirror. Naked, even. What don't you like? Why don't you like that part of you? What would life be like without it? Stop emulating models.

  2. Get out a sheet a paper and list all the things you are thankful for. Then list everything you like about yourself. Be honest.

  3. Make that list of things you like about yourself and refer back to it, adding one item each day.

  4. Help someone. They will be grateful for your kindness, and you'll feel better about yourself. Volunteer.

  5. What makes you think people don't like you? Ask your friends or family what they like best about you.

  6. Offer honest unqualified praise with no strings attached. Often you will get some in return, but don't be disappointed if you don't.

  7. What makes you think you can't do it? You can. Tell yourself over and over. Don't quit.

  8. Scrutinize your features. Lots of people have life-threatening problems. What are your problems compared to theirs? Even if they are worse, remember you are always beautiful and wonderful.

  9. Watch a kids show that teaches self-esteem. Watch a young child. Children love without restrictions. Love without expectation and you will be loved in return.

  10. Remember that all are beautiful when they smile. You can do anything, be anything you put your mind to if you just realize what a wonderful person you are!
