Odor control. Got lots of odors? Don't just cover them up but actually get rid of
them. Here's how to do it right.
Please read this first.
-
Find the source of the odor
-
Clean up as much residue or as much of whatever is left making the
smell
-
For cigarette smoke, clean every surface and replace absorbent items
like carpets, furniture, etc.
-
For air borne and surface odors, deodorants are okay. But for heavier
odors, they just cover up the smell.
-
For bacteria-induced odor problems, use disinfectants, which have
antibiotics or bleach to kill bacteria.
-
Enzymes work well to eliminate organic waste smells (vomit and pet
stools). They are activated with water, but may have limited use.
-
For good odor destruction, get an odor-destroying product that has
molecules to latch onto odor molecules and destroy them. This is great
for carpet pet odors, laundry odors, cigarette smoke, dead animals, in a
fogger machine. (recent odor-eating cleaners are available even in
grocery stores, but go for the pro kind anyway) This way you don't
have to throw out old odor-ridden furniture.
