Floors: Mopping. Mop like a pro! Get yourself the best swingiest mop and clean
floors while you rock. And just how do you mop? It's all right
here:
Please read this first.
-
Sweep before mopping.
-
Choose the right mop. Get a scrubbing handled swiveling mop.
-
Get a wringer bucket suited for the job (not too big or too small - commercial ones are usually too much for homes)
-
Use a neutral cleaner to mop waxed floors. Many heavy-duty ones are
high in pH and may strip off the wax.
-
For lots of hard surface floor (kitchen, entryways, wood, sealed
garage), use a string mop.
-
For scattered hard surface floor, not in abundance, use a smaller string
mop.
-
For one and a half bathrooms and a small kitchen, use a sponge mop. It
has a small area of contact and gets saturated quickly. You can also use
a really small string mop that you wring out by hand.
-
Dip the mop in the bucket, wring, go over the surface, dip and rinse,
wring ... until you're done! Let the floor dry.
