The concept of the Fetchball ladder system is simple: participants battle each other 1v1, attempting to get to the top of the ladder. Anyone can challenge anyone else; the winner is awarded a win, the loser is awarded a loss, and ties/unfinished games are not counted.
If participants would like to find challengers more easily, they can put a (sideways L; option + l) in their name. This idea is taken from an older ladder whose name I don't think I learned.
When you play, please use the same name you used to sign up, and state your login at the beginning of the game if you can remember. When you're done, send the film to [email protected] with the title "Ladder Match." Please put the result and each player's login, for example:
>Ladder Match
>Bender (bend00) defeats Zoidberg (drzoid) 1-0
Games can be any length and use any amount of planning time, but they must be played on Legendary difficulty to count towards the ladder.
Other people are allowed to watch games, but not to control units.
Impersonation, delay of game or any other general lameness will result in ejection from the ladder.
If the ball hits the "invisible wall" (a barrier that sometimes forms in front of the goal), play continues (no point is awarded).
Robots cannot participate in the ladder.
Good luck!
