When my web page debuted last August, I wrote the following penultimate sentence on the title page:

�When American men get off their knees and break their shackles, all over Creation the clocks will stop. Trumpets, then wedding bells, then CRACK! and CRASH! down fall the towers of the Powers.�

Apparently someone�s trying to stand on his own feet. The Towers of the West are fallen.

This is the War in Heaven.

We have witnessed the first blast from the lips of the angel. No longer can Americans, nor the citizenry of the world, touch the Queen of Heaven�s image on earth. She stands forlorn in the harbor that once was America, Land of Liberty. Her seven-rayed crown is tarnished by the soot of our souls. Decades ago she was cast from her throne into the wilderness of the Wasteland, attended only by her loyal Host.

Liberty is closed. Our government tells us we can no longer contact Her because of the �terrorist threat.� Guards with guns patrol her shrine.

But She has been off limits, sterile, and cast out for decades now � as barren as the spiritual heart of a once-great nation.

As for the wedding bells, they indeed are ringing. As Bob Dylan sings, the Groom has been waiting at the Altar for many years. Whether his Bride will show is still to be seen.

In the rubble of the fallen Towers, one may find the remains of Western manhood, eroded at its foundations over the past three decades. We are �led� by a succession of Toxic Kings � Nixons, Agnews, Reagans, Clintons, and burnt Bushes, pretenders to the throne, petty demagogues, power-junkies, lobby-meat, careerists.

During these decades the nation has bartered away every last shred of ethics and authentic spirituality. The Taliban �demons,� desert scapegoats in true Judaic Day of Atonement tradition, are far stronger spiritually than Americans, whose corporate multinational government is avaricious and corrupt, whose culture is largely insane, and whose prisons, streets and graveyards are full of citizens � overwhelmingly males � who need not be there.

The Towers of the West are fallen, and not by power of Islamic extremists. Al Qaeda is a mere tool, albeit cunning. They are not the source of our danger. No winged mechanism or being would ever be permitted to touch the icons of a nation that was truly living its ideals.

We are not living our ideals. Together as a nation we built those Towers, and together as a nation we are responsible for their destruction.

With the American public distracted by the �war on evil,� Junior Bush and his cronies are paying off their election bills by funneling the pork-fat of the land into the pockets of their campaign contributors � Southwestern energy conglomerates and other corporate fat-cats. Already more than nine billion dollars has been gobbled by these corporate "patriots." This rape of the Treasury is bi-partisan, conducted by those who have snookered the American public into believing they stand for the �good� opposing �evil.�

Really? "I'm good, you're bad?" Not listening the first time? Then let the trumpet again be raised, until our fingers are blasted from our ears.

A November 17, 2001, Knight-Ridder story by Barry Shlachter reports that eight Western staff members of the German charity Shelter Now International were released by the Taliban following their arrest on August 3 on suspicion of preaching Christianity.

In fact, members of the �charity� admitted proselytizing with videos and books.

The Taliban, George Bush, Jr�s. �evildoers,� treated their prisoners admirably, and upon release one of the former captives, Dayna Curry, called these Afghans deeply religious people. �They only asked us to remain quiet during their prayer time,� she stated. Their guards �would ask us about our faith� with a genuine curiosity, she added. On two occasions the Taliban provided them with cell phones so they could call their families.
