| Emerging patriarchies thus attempted to kill two birds, er, sows, with one old stone -- for the pig is not only symbolic of boy-blood rites, but is a lascivious creature with extended orgasm, thus representing regression to chthonic sexuality and unconsciousness, and away from the conscious re-routing of libido desired by the patriarchies, and requisite to masculine individuation and the building of civilization. The creation of the American Wasteland is a joint venture between the negative elements of the masculine and feminine � the Toxic King and Empowered Witch. Loosely, they are the ideo-political Right and Left. They are both quite dead, and yet both are still in power, clinging to the Throne these past four decades, largely by terrorizing the male populace, and by manipulating the national Dreaming Mind. To choose one or the other -- Republican or Democrat -- plays precisely into their hands, and into the hands of the interests backing them � for they are a mated pair, servants of the omphalos in the crypt, magickal practitioners of Death in life. Men�s advocates -- by playing the Leftie/Rightie game -- fall into the old Manichean trap, and their energies are thus swallowed up by Leviathan. Such interests are easily misled, especially by sexual and economic self-interest. Upon this weakness the Dragon ever counts. The occult alliance between the Empowered Witch and the Toxic King solidified in America in the late sixties, with four major betrayals leading to the establishment of our corporate matriarchy: 1) the division of the political Left into "oppressed women," "people of color," and "enemy others" (i.e., white males); 2) the collusion between corporate America and the "liberated woman," an alliance which spent the next thirty years exterminating the final vestiges of authentic maleness; 3) expansion of the Prison-Industrial Complex to insane proportions, and to cruel methods; and 4) manipulation by terror of the collective Dreaming Mind. With women, corporations, academia, media, and government united behind the banners of selfishness, propaganda, "protection," and materialism, authentic masculine elements arising in the Sixties were effectively isolated, silenced, ingested, and gradually exterminated over the next three decades. Even the most timid attempts at male resistance to neo-matriarchy -- such as the drum-banging early "men's movement� -- were immediately ridiculed and dirty-tricked, especially by the fem-media. Authentic male groupings -- which are at the center of all spiritual movements -- were disallowed, destroyed, or simply made illegal, while women's groupings were encouraged, funded, and praised as "liberating" and "empowering." (Note here the impotence of the Promise Keepers, essentially an extension of feminized religion and corporate matriarchy. Note also the Mills College phenomenon -- women, it turned out, despite rhetoric to the contrary, did not really want integration, equality, or diversity -- they wanted, demanded, and received privilege, special protections, and mass entitlement.) As men in the Sixties questioned and began to reject their slave status, the hammer fell from the "Establishment," the Terrible Father/Toxic King. What brought the Flood of the next forty years in America was the unwillingness of female America to support the truly revolutionary attempt by men to shatter the bonds of both men and women, to forge beyond the labyrinth of Left and Right. Instead, women decided that liberation meant jumping on the corporate-money bandwagon, utilizing a cornucopia of set-asides, privileges, and entitlements, some of which were already in place, and some of which were newly added. In short, tens of millions of American women turned their backs on their brothers, husbands, fathers, and sons, and decided their own material interests and agendas were of supreme import, separate from the individual and collective fates of men -- an impossible, unconscious, and self-annihilating delusion. This they rationalized on the basis that they were "oppressed," a position the Toxic King and Empowered Witch assured them was so, the better to consolidate their own power. Divide and conquer. �Twas ever thus. American women exempted themselves -- on the basis of their innate moral superiority, as Carol Gilligan �proved� -- from any moral responsibility whatever. �Morality� turned into whatever suited their wants and needs, in exactly the same way that rhetoric around the "protection of children" was perverted into a synonym for womens� selfish power agendas. Worse, with government, academia, and the media in full support, there was no element in the culture that could hold the mirror up to the Gorgon faces and show them what they had become; we were, and still are, too busy abetting WomanChurch, by assuring females that their megalomaniacal power-lust constitutes a "raising of consciousness." Ho ho ho. Thus we ended up with millions of men suddenly imprisoned, �diversitied� out of jobs and educational opportunities, cast into poverty, and sent to the early graves, often by suicide. We embraced our Culture of Denial, in which college students step daily across men in gutters on their way to campus "Men Against Rape" confabs, at universities where no sexual assaults have occurred for years. Political correctness is the fundamentalism of the Left. The attitude of the Empowered Witch and Toxic King towards masculinity mirrors that of the matriarchies: submit or be punished, isolated from the herd, and crushed. Subjugation, often occluded by material largesse, is the controlling state of masculinity in the modern West. As under the matriarchies, masculinity is expected to perform within mandated boundaries, upon demand, or face very unpleasant consequences. Reaping the foul harvest of the Sixties, America has brought the collective hammer down upon masculinity, with the expectation of compliance to implicitly self-destructive cultural agendas, under threat of imprisonment, homelessness, premature death, impoverishment, and the withholding of tactile and emotional support -- most especially involving the legal theft of children. The message from the Empowered Witch and the Toxic King for the last four decades has been clear: my way or the highway. Submit or be cast out, scapegoated, imprisoned, and starved physically and emotionally. Plus, we�ll call you Oppressors. However, the betrayal of American men in the late twentieth century contains the germ of our freedom, for it is the spur that will force us to relinquish our dependence on females and their social institutions --especially our addictions to feminine touch, praise, and sex. The harder the whip falls, the closer we come to liberation. Men cannot, however, expect that their liberation will be underwritten and supported by the feminine in the same way the Women�s Movement was bolstered by men and the culture -- because the social agenda IS the feminine agenda, and both ideological factions vehemently oppose male liberation -- the loss of their Nigger. That�s why, in Dylan�s words, �the Groom�s still waiting at the altar,� and why incipient attempts at male liberation are quickly ridiculed and exterminated. |
