SPINBUSTERS
The Return of the BanShe

The past few decades have witnessed the re-establishment of matriarchy throughout the "democracies" of the West.  Especially in America, men and boys not wealthy or well-connected are second-class citizens in both public and private spheres.  To be male is a source of personal and collective shame. The pinnacle of shame, we're assured, is white maleness.   Even our "conservative, religious" Republican president hates his own gender.  "W" stands for "Women," he crowed during his campaign.

For once, we agree.

Back in 1956, Erik Dingwall in
The American Woman quoted author Theodore Dreiser:

As to the American woman, Dreiser expressed astonishment that the ideas regarding her could honestly be held by any rational person. But, he stated, Americans move in a world of illusion. To them woman is more than human and has become a goddess, a divine creative principle to whom no vice, error or weakness can be found.

Actually, writers have been pointing out for over a century that America is a matriarchy.  Shocking result: the matriarchy didn't listen then, and still doesn't.  Clearly, American men are not merely impotent
, but trans-century castrati.

Yo, Boys.  Best toss down a few more Viagra!  LOL!!

Of all the Western matriarchies, America has embraced its psycho-social regression to tribalism, blood-sacrifice, scapegoating, vengeance, and Female Supremacy with the characteristic vigor of a rabid she-wolf: the culture oozes Woman Firstism, fronted by weak, putative males worshipping the Old Goddess and her idols of money, power, and control.  Modern Western matriarchies reflect the primal/primate Mother-Son Complex of psychological, anthropological, and mythological infamy.  It is an ancient alliance incestuous, unholy, omnipotent, and -- as the historical record proves -- very difficult to counter, much less correct.

(Perhaps the Empowered Witch/Toxic King alliance is ineradicable, and the eternal vigilance of  periodic mens movements the only antidote.  Certainly history argues this.  Until recent centuries, religions and male spiritual systems/fraternities slowed the species inevitable regressive urges to gynocracy and degeneration.  However, most mythologies -- especially eschatologies -- predict an endtime confrontation between fundamental  dualties, typically between "good" and "evil."  Good and evil are not, however, the fundamental opposites.  That'd be woman and man, symbolized in collective consciousnessis as the Primal/Divine Couple, King and Queen.  In Judeo-Christianity, these figures are Adam and Lilith/Eve) .

In
Phoenician Origin of Britons, Scots and Anglo-Saxons, Sumerologist Lawrence Waddell posits a postdiluvian Hitto-Goth-Khatti-Phoenician solar-culture that re-seeded the planet with technology, knowledge and civilization following global cataclysm.  (A Deluge, by the way, can be psycho-social as well as climatologic, and an "Ark" can infer a conservator/conservation of knowledge across the "dark-ages" of cultural ignorance and oppression.)

Waddell's ur-tribe of "Indo-Aryans" navigated Earth, led by monotheistic and patrifocal Lords and Kings, who ferried civilization across the Flood (whatever its manifestations).  In many instances -- e.g., in the British Isles -- these regenerators of culture overthrew pre-existing poli-social tribal systems, which were invariably blood-sacrificial, matrilinear, matriarchal, and Goddess-worshipping.  (See Bachofen, Frazer, Briffault, Erich Neumann et al.)   Males of these tribal matriarchies usually did the fighting, as they do still -- though there is clear, although not widespread, evidence in the archeological and anthropological record for literal warrior-Amazons.

Waddell notes:

This first traditional migration of people into Erin is significantly stated in the Irish-Scot records, as cited in the heading, to have been led by a woman, Ceasair or Cesair. This tradition of a woman leader appears to me to afford the clue to the matrilinear custom (or parentage and succession through the mother and not through the father), which  Mother-right," according to the Irish and Pict Chronicles, prevailed in early Erin (see later). This custom is admittedly a vestige of the primitive Matriarchy, or rule by Mothers. . . .

The name "Ban" or "Bean, by which this Irish Matriarch as well as her country is called, literally means in Irish "Fian," "female" or "woman," and is thus probably cognate with the matriarchist tribal title of Van or Wan and Fene; and its cognate is applied to the traditional aboriginal dwarf people of both Ireland and Alban, who were popularly associated in legends and myth with the Picts. It also seems to be the source of the later popular term "Fene" or "Fein " for those claiming to be aboriginal Irish. Those primitive Fenes, Fins or Bans appear, I think, to be clearly the primordial, aboriginal, dark dwarf race "Van" or "Fen" in the Gothic Edda Epics, who were the chief enemies of the Goths, in the solar cult of the latter . . . [T]he tribal name "Fomor" has been attempted to be explained by conjectural Celtic etymologies variously as "Giants" and conflictingly as "Dwarfs under the Sea . . ."

The Religion which the Phoenicians disembarked and transplanted in Britain, as they did in their other colonies was the exalted monotheistic religion with the idea of One God of the Universe, symbolized by his chief visible luminary the Sun . . .  [T]he uplifting effect of this lofty religion upon the aborigines must have been enormous, sunk as the latter were in the degrading matriarchal cults of serpent demons of Death and Darkness, demanding human and other bloody sacrifices.

These Fomors, who opposed Part-olon on his landing in Ireland, are reported to have been ferocious "demons," and significantly they were led by an ogre and his Mother. This is clearly a memory of the Mother-Son joint rulership of Matriarchy, wherein the favourite son-paramour, who in the Eddas is called Baldr, was the champion of the Matriarch and her tribe for offensive and defensive purposes.

Waddell depicts these dwarvish Ban or Fen matriarchs as a kind of proto-
sapiens-sapiens Monkeywoman.  His imagery recalls the themes and characters of Francisco Goyas revelatory Los Caprichos series, in which monstrous female figures from humanitys collective past infest time itself, haunting the present and influencing events from behind the scenes -- chiefly through manipulations of libido and presentation of a morally superior facade.

Sound like any nations you know?

Waddells Baldr the Ogre is clearly the same generic male
tyrannos that preys on intra-tribal males (read: potential competitors) in primate groups -- the same pattern observed in the tyrants (regardless of "party affilliation") that "lead" our trans-generational oligarchies (oops, I mean "democracies") of the modern West.

(Hey, it's just
coincidence that out of eighty-million-or-so eligibles, the U.S. Presidency is essentially the property of a single family.)

How convenient that the warmongers and despots who demonize and oppress boys and men through the spectacle of fearsome acts" simultaneously depict themseves as the worldwide enemies of terrorism.

In a discussion of "St. Patrick" as protector of the unicorn/deer/he-goat (i.e., scapegoat), Waddell claifies the primal connection between the predator-tyrant and the matriarchy:

The Goat appears thus to me to have been selected for this totem position by the Early Aryans or Sumerians or Goths, partly on account of its name resembling rebus-wise the tribal name of " Goth," partly because of the Early Aryans having been presumably Goat-herds in the mountains before their adoption of the settled life and their invention of Agriculture and Husbandry, and partly because the bearded and semi-human appearance of the Goat's head offered a strikingly masculine yet inoffensive effigy for their institution of the Fatherhood stage of Society, in opposition and in contrast to the primeval promiscuous Matriarchy of the Chaldee aborigines of the Mother-Son cult, with its malignant and devouring demonist totems of the Serpent, Bull-Calf, Vulture or Raven, and Wolf of Van or Fen (the Wolf exchanging also with the ravening Lion), and demanding bloody and even human sacrifices. And the fusion of these four totems is the origin of the Dragon.

Thus we find that the antagonism of the Goat (or " Unicorn ") to the Lion (or Wolf or Dragon) is figured freely on Sumerian and Hitto-Phoenician seals from the earliest period, and also on Early Briton monuments and coins....

Swannie Swoops In

Michael Swanwick's
The Sleep of Reason, a series of short-short-stories by the Hugo and Nebula-award-winning author, mines the same chthonic mire.  His vignettes are based on Goya's series of connected illustrations, "Los Caprichos."

The Sleep of Reason prys open Goya's cryptic and scathing etchings, teleporting them to our time and culture, deftly revealing the psycho-spiritual underpinnings beneath and behind what Joyce called "the nightmare of history."

Elenas Heart, the second of Swanwicks stories, begins:

Not all mad scientists are men. Not all are young. Some are mad old women, disappointed in life and in love, and determined to wreak their revenge upon the race of Men. Such were Eleanor, Enid, and Annaprudenzia who, old and brilliant and ugly, decided to build the young woman they all wished they had been: Beautiful as the dawn in springtime, lusty as a summer afternoon, and cruel as the harshest winter's night.

The creation of Elena's form and features was but a trifle. Eleanor was a bioengineer and an accomplished graverobber. Enid was a neurosurgeon, chiefly, but capable of a little plastic surgery on the side. Annaprudenzia knew how to sew. She got out the wedding gown she had never found need for, and cut it down to fit their new ward's exquisite shape. Finally, all was ready.

This alliance of two major artists in exposing the feminine shadow is a breakthrough for the Mens Movement, helping  men's activists become less marginalized, and challenging modern assumptions of female superiority.

The Swanwick/Goya collaboration is carried online by
The Infinite Matrix, at www.infinitematrix.net/stories/swanwick/sleep_of_reason.html.

Harlan Ellison's story "A Boy and His Dog" showed that of all American literary genres, only speculative fiction is permitted to challenge the Lace Curtain of feminist censorship in editing, publishing, and media.  Swanwick digs even deeper than Ellison, ripping the mask off the Empowered Witch of the West in his "stories" -- placed in quotes, because there is nothing fictional nor mythological about misandry and blood-magick (witness the past few decades here in the, uh, patriarchy.)

The Sleep of Reason isn't afraid to confront the malicious and controlling aspects of collective femininity, and Swanwick's harpies, crones, and scientific goddess-wannabees are eerily reminiscent of the "Fen" or "Ban" ur-matriarchs described by Lawrence Waddell in Phoenician Origin of Britons, Scots and Anglo-Saxons.  (see www.jrbooksonline.com/pob/pob_ch11.html)

Utilizing ritual sacrifice, archetypal genetic engineering, psycho-spiritual interference, and man's own run-amok Innie-Outie Urge, this Monkeywoman Sisterhood dominates men Left and Right throughout theme and characterization in Goya's "Caprichos" and Swanwick's
The Sleep of Reason.

Why . . . it's just like real Reality!  I guess that's why he titled it "sleep."

Smeagols Wife

Waddells work is just the ravings of a proto-nazi, you say?  His scholarship is ignored by the Academy?

Yah, whatta surprise . . . .

You say that Goya and Swanwicks pieces are merely wish-fulfillment, courtesy of Yet More Misogynistic White Males afraid of Powerful Women at last free of "patriarchal oppression"?

Well, certainly thats the party line of Western cultures, which insist that any criticism of feminism or females is a Plot to Keep Women Down.

O.K.  Heres a little consensus reality, then, of a decidedly non-mythic variety.

On 10/07/04, Reuters released a story carried by Yahoo News, bylined by Michael Perry, titled, Scientists Hope to Find More Tiny Indonesia Hominids, excerpted below.

Australian scientists who found a new species of hobbit-sized humans who lived about 13,000 years ago on an Indonesian island said on Thursday they expect to discover more new species of hominids on neighboring islands. The partial skeleton of Homo floresiensis, found in a cave on the island of Flores in 2003, was of an adult female that was 3 feet tall, had a brain smaller than a chimpanzee's, and probably lived alongside modern humans on the island.
Australian and Indonesian scientists have since unearthed seven small hominids called "Flores man" from the Liang Bua limestone cave, the youngest living 13,000 years ago.

"Flores man" is thought to be a descendent of
Homo erectus, which had a large brain, was full-sized and spread out from Africa to Asia about 2 million years ago. [University of New England (Australia) archaeologist Mike] Morwood said the discovery of hominids on Flores was unexpected as no Asian land animal at the time had crossed the sea to the islands in eastern Indonesia and hominids were not believed to be developed enough to build and sail a craft.

But if
Homo erectus reached Flores and evolved into "Flores man" then others probably reached nearby islands and also evolved into new human species. Legends tell of small, man-like creatures existing on eastern islands long ago.  The discovery of hominids in Southeast Asia almost to the start of agriculture 10,000 years ago means they were "contemporaries of modern humans," said Morwood, and added another piece to the complex puzzle of human evolution.

Scientists have pieced together an image of a hairless, dark-skinned dwarf species with a head the size of a grapefruit, sunken eyes, a flat nose and large teeth and mouth projecting forward with virtually no chin. What surprised scientists was that despite the shrinking of the brain "Flores man" still performed complex tasks like making miniature stone tools, hunting miniature Stegodon elephants and giant Komodo dragons and using fire to cook.

"They were making sophisticated stone tools, some of which appear to be directly associated with the hunting of big game like Stegodon, like Komodo dragon...and for butchering these large animals," said Morwood. "So despite very, very small brains, this hominid population was doing sophisticated things," he said.

The remains discovered have been dated as old as 95,000 years and as young as 13,000 years ago, meaning the Flores man's time overlaps modern humans by about 40,000 years, but it is not clear whether there was any interaction between the two on Flores.

Scientists suspect "Flores man" became extinct after a massive volcanic eruption on the island around 12,000 years ago, but local folk tales suggest the hominids may have still been living on Flores up until the Dutch arrived in the 1500s.

The expedition discovered "Flores man" while looking for records of modern human migration to Asia. The hominid find was reported in the latest edition of science journal
Nature.

Archaeologist Mike Morwood stresses the sophisticated behavior of this population, despite biophysical differences with
sapiens sapiens.  Modern folks assume that abstraction, imagination, and general powers of mind were impoverished in, or absent from, alternate or prior models of the species.

Instead, there's much evidence (e.g., Julian Jaynes) to argue that humans, even to the late first millennia B.C.E., operated primarily in shared, largely undifferentiated mental states.  These states are now observable primarily amongst certain low-functioning autistics.  That is,
our forebears had different, perhaps almost alien, but not necessarily inferior methods of thought and expression, characterized by a lack of boundary, or thin membrane, between the natural world/collective human consciousness and the developing ego and related lingual capacities we now assoicate with "humanness."

Further, non-verbal communications amongst "low-functioning" autistics strongly suggest that each gender had -- and to some degree, retains -- access to collective states that were gender-specific.  Modern male and female psychologies are radically divergent -- rather alien to one another, to be exact -- because each gender's egoic/collective relationship grew from very different foundational experiences, needs, and desires.

I'll spare you the details.  Briefly, male inner-life is rooted in separateness; female inner-life is founded on relatedness.  Communal or collective psychic states are thus the strength and home-province of women.

"Low functioning" male autistics -- and the artists and mystics that grok them -- inhabit the best of both psycho-spiritual worlds.  They embody the extreme individualization/specialization of masculinity, yet retain primal access to collective strata and abilites typically associated with the feminine.  Waddell's Ban-Matriarchs and Swanwick's primal femi-demons suggest females highly adept at manipulating psychic states, perhaps suggesting
vreki -- female autistics of ancient and modern populations.

For autistics, however, these states and abilities come with a physical price.  "Sacrifice," as Bobby D. said, "is the code of the road."  For this and other reasons,
"low functioning" male autistics were the originators of masculnity and egoic consciousness.  They were -- and still are -- the true leaders of men, the conservators and guardians of masculine values, and indeed of the male Spirit iteself.

LOL!!  Don't worry.  You'll get used to it . . . .

The Mothers: Make War, Not Love

The Ban, Van, or Fen Matriarchs that Waddell describes as dwarfs under the sea suddenly spring from the comfy confines of consensual reality and deniable "mythopoetics" -- where such information is easily ignored or ridiculed by academics and "professionals and flops SPLATTO! on the front-porch of Western cultures long conditioned to believe that its a mans world, and that patriarchy everywhere rules.  Suddenly, dwarfs under the sea means not merely humanity's psycho-spiritual sub-strata, the Hellenic Realm of the Mothers -- now Waddells matriarchs have a geographic and fossil setting.

Now Yahoo's got pictures!

Still scratching my noggin from the synchronic clues from Waddell, Goya, Swanwick, and newly disinterred
Homo floresiensis, I began reviewing the recently published book The War Against Men, by Professor Richard Hise of Texas A&M.   Hise opens a sub-chapter on Religion with the blunt and overdue observation that:

Organized religion in the United States is dominated by women . . . control of the church by females is so pervasive, even without their holding leadership positions, that we could say the church is being, in large measure, feminized . . . [O]n Sunday, in most Protestant churches, 80% of the attendees are frequently women.

Hise quotes Eric Lincoln, a leading black scholar at Duke Divinity School:

The well-organized black church is an organization of subgroups in which women predominate and wield their own power.  Women raise the money and, though men dominate the church board of trustees, it is their wives who effectively determine how it is spent.  Among Black Baptists, power belongs to the mothers, a group of older women who have been in their congregations for decades and constitute the heart and soul of the church.  On Sunday, the Mothers dress distinctively in white and preside  from a special section of the church opposite the Amen Corner where the male trustees sit.  The minister who has the Mothers on his side is virtually unassailable and woe be it to the minister who doesnt [obey them].  [brackets added]

So . . . uh . . . amidst this takeover by The Mothers, dare one wonder: whatever happened to that Jesus guy?  That poor sucker nailed to the Big Stick?  Anybody remember him?

Obviouly not only American culture, but even the Congregations have forgotten who in this world bites the bullet, who  does the dangerous work and the dirty dying, and whence their Water and Bread comes.

And they call these Womanchurches "
Christianity"!!

After relating the above Undeniable Strangenesses to one of my research partners -- the mother of a brilliant six-year-old autistic boy named Ben -- she sent me the following e-mail.  (I have changed two names, but nothing else of substance.)

Ok - recap on phone call. You told me the story in the War on Men book regarding the 'white-robed' "mothers" matriarchs in the s. baptist church.  After the telling, Ben went to the television and put on local Comcast cable channel 95 NewBedford TV.  It was a black woman preaching into a microphone from a pulpit.  She was dressed in a white suit.  The bottom of the screen had a digital notation:  Merry Christmas  August 18, 2002.  [lol] I realized she was speaking espanol or Portuguese.  Ben changed the channel to an 'empty' channel where the multi-striped pattern was shown and touched the green 'stripe'   That reminded me that she was probably black Cape Verdean and speaking Portuguese.  We had a brief convo about Santeria and goat sacrifice, which would be vehemently denied locally - however Roger told me there used to be a 'shop' in town wherein orders for uh, leedul billy goats could be placed.

(after the call - he [her son Ben] went and put on SOCK IT TO ME SANTA!!!)  :o)
Here is the story on Roger and Phil.  They went to Phil's church last Sunday.  He [Phil] is a 17 yr. member of this Baptist church.  He always felt accepted regardless of his Asperger's and his homosexuality.  There is a small lesbian group that attends and he always figured while unspoken, the gay community was welcome.  Sunday was Roger's first attendance in a Church since childhood.  He and Phil walked hand in hand up the aisle, proud, with their shiny new wedding rings.  [PAUSE::::BRAWHAHAHAHA]  okay.  sar-e.

As they walked up the aisle to be seated, an usher asked them to leave the church.  Not stop holding hands or please don't be overt here.  But LEAVE - you are not welcome here.  So Phil went off on the dude.  You allow lesbians to hold hands here!  He asks to see the Pastor.  Is told no and to get out.   Roger called me very upset on the way back.  He had Phil tell me the story.  I asked if he understood Ben's and my attempts to call attention to Men's Advocacies now. [remember that Roger has harrassed me for a year since becoming aware of my *own* awareness and support of same.]  Phil said huh??  I asked him:  Why were you asked to leave the church?  He replied "Because we're gay and married!"  I said: they allowed the lesbians there.  They're women.  Yes, he said.  And they allow married people there, right?  Yes.   And they have no problem with your disability, right?  Yes.   THEN WHAT THE HELL IS LEFT PHIL?????  Because you are a MAN!  Welcome to the real oppressed in our society.  He was speechless.  And I could almost hear the light click on upstairs in the cobwebbed attic.  Ohhhhhh!!!!!!  And that's the story as it happened .

Dreaming, Not Dead

Hoo-Hoo, me Droogiez! Now the Lesbian Baptists are oppressing the Christo-Pagan Male Gays!  In Church no less!

And they say God is dead!!

And they're Rong!  But it ain't for lack of
trying to kill Him!

Ah, America . . . you are a Comprehensive Psychosis!

Whatever happened to
inclusion?  LOL!!

The events truly speak for themselves, and Santeria had little trouble pasting Catholicism, and the endlessly crucified lamb/goat of Christ) onto its own necromantic animal-sacrifices.  Santeria is rooted in the matriarchal fertility blood-rites, designed to "raise the ancestors" from the dead for reasons of personal influence (i.e., like feminism, for the wrong reasons).  The priests and trustees of our denominations stage the Outer Ceremonies -- while The Mothers sit in their Seats of Power, presiding over the Inner Ritual, that same Old Ritual, dressed in the woolen whiteness of self-awarded moral superiority.

The autistic boy, Ben -- considered by society a burden and a retard,  a "victim" of the autistic "disease" -- has already shown a keen interest in the Mens Movement, proudly pointing out the public-protest escapades of Batman and Spiderman, prominent members of the group Fathers 4 Justice, when they appear on his teevee screen.

(So-called low-functioning autistics are often super-specialists. I'd call them are spiritual savants -- though assuredly in a tough-love, not a touchy-feeling, sort of way.  They are acutely attuned both to physical and extra-physical phenomena, including unusual methods of communication and influence.  Their lack of verbal expression enhances, rather than detracts from, such abilities.)

The collective hunger to return to unconsciousness, to chaos, to the soft and secure arms of mom and matriarchy, has proven too strong for America, and for the modern West.  Thus men in the West again find themselves ruled over by Woman, and by the "men" that acquire wealth and power through her.

Maybe a six-year-old autistic boy knows something his culture doesn't, despite warnings from visionaries like Goya, Swanwick, and Lovecraft that the Old Beast lies dead but dreaming, waiting for a receptive Age to awaken and re-establish dominion.

Methinks the "waiting" is over.  In "Dead But Dreaming," writer Tracy Twyman comments on Lovecraft's
Magan Text:

What is really interesting is that in this story, it is Tiamat [the primal, oceanic Feminine Abyss] who is the most powerful, the most ancient, and the Most High God. It is she who is rebelled against, and the Elder Ones, the good gods, are the ones who rebel. [brackets, emphasis added]

Lovecraft presents the
Magan Text as a creation-myth of the solar system, based partly on Sumero-Babylonian cosmologies.  However, the genesis of the conflict is gender, as in Marduk's victory over Tiamat, and though unstated by Lovecraft, the rebellious "Elder Gods" represent not only planets, but the ancient spiritual fraternity that first rebelled against the Sisterhood -- against matriarchy and its male servants, the latter represented by the tyrant Kingu and his demon hordes.

In bio-evolutionary terms, this is the maternal uncle, the brother-in-law dreaded by men of aboriginal villages worldwide.  He is the troop-tyrant among the lower primates, who rules by force, rationalizing his atrocities under "natural selection."  The "rebellion" of Lovecraft's Elder Gods severed the maternal Dragon -- the Uroboric Unity --  initiating males and females into consciousness of gender and duality, and shepherding us away from the Teat, from the early collective condition, toward more individuated (and male) psycho-social states.  With the slaying of the Female Dragon, the Egg of "Edenic consciousness" was cracked, the ur-duality of gender manifested in self-reflection, and Heaven "removed" from Earth.  This is the primal wound the masculine inflicted on the feminine, and this wound is still the source of female rage and vengeance in that gender's less-balanced representatives.

Yah That Same Thang

... must be that same old thing makes a tomcat fuss and fight . . .
Tell me who's to blame?
The whole world's fightin' 'bout that same thing

    "That Same Thing" (G. Thorogood)

Because modern man cannot imagine an oppressive regime minus machine guns, be-medaled generals, and strato-bombers and because man cannot imagine dear little Mumsy having a monstrous will-to-power he assumes that men rule the world, and always have.

The bondages of matriarchy were largely psycho-spiritual.  They hadn't externalized their Atticas yet.  Woman -- as J.J. Bachofen and Erich Neumann argue convincingly -- was humanitys first, and only, Deity.  God wasnt even a twinkle in the sky of a brothers eye.  Consciousness was overwhelmingly collective, and what we think of as the individuated, constellated ego was absent, embryonic, or in hiding.  Under such conditions, it was mental (and later, sonic/verbal) prowess that determined power.

That's hard for proud, over-educated rationalists to accept, but it's a costly denial.  Especially in the distant past, psychic states were highly malleable and suggestible, and small groups of older females sourced in collective awarenesses exploited the feminine predisposition for psychological sorority.   They were God.

In many minds today -- and obviously, in many churches -- they still are.

Mind-manipulation isnt as difficult as we might imagine (or hope).  All intelligence operations, including secret societies and national intelligence entities, are sourced in mind control.  (Trace, for example, the history of British Intelligence, which begins in the modern age with Queen Elizabeths Court Intelligencer, occultist and necromancer John Dee.  The activities of the
Hashishin and many other secret societies are also instructive in this context.)

Especially when the individual or collective ego is weak, when fear and mass trauma can be manipulated, susceptibility to suggestion and domination is strong.  Orders implanted into the species unconscious mind -- orders concerning Obedience to the Ma-tricks, for example -- not only could, but did, last millennia.  Groups of highly motivated individuals can make their Voice heard across the ages, and they don't need CDs.  Call it archaic "hi-def" on the low-wavelengths.

As with any form of hypnosis, the crucial ingredient is "consent" by the hypnotised.
To agree to Go Under and Stay Under, we must be offered something we want. In this way, the Practitioner upholds the Letter of the Law (against coercing free will) while polluting its Spirit.

To some degree, we all want to return to the carefree
sanctitas of Mamas womb.  Like the children we really are, we crave Primal Unity.  However, as feminism continues to prove, this urge can be manipulated into a kind of protection racket for females.  Homeland Security sells like soul-cakes, straight from the oven.   Yup.  Eat 'em up.

Look around you.  If you dont believe the archeology, nor the wisdom of our Fathers, nor the warning of our artists and visionaries, then consider the disharmonic convergence of Female Empowerment and cultural degeneration blighting America over the past forty years.   It aint an accident.  We have been LED to this precipice, quite carefully, by the Numbers.  Power was the first temptation, and it's still Numero Uno.  Every element of Western culture is clamoring for a restoration of the Goddess, whether through the gens-bloodline of the grail, the ideo-politics of feminism, the incantations of "magickal" groups, or the homeland security of the Nanny State.  Even the Baptist churches are dominated by The Mothers!

During Halloween 2003, the "Christian" Knights of Columbus tried to rent their Meeting Hall in downtown Salem, Massachusetts, to local witches desiring to celebrate their "Festival of the Dead." The substantial wiccan community was led by Witch Elder/High Priestess Sandra Mariah Power (yep, I swear, I didn't make it up,
Ms. Power!!).

The festivities in the Knight's Temple were to include a lecture on "Death and Rebirth Ritual Transformation."  (i.e., necromancy)  Grand Knight Ray Marchand, whose "Christian" organization had rented often to the local wiccan population, at the last moment cancelled the booking due to "many complaints."

Now people,
really.  Y'know, I may have fallen offa the Turnip Truck.  A big tall one.  And I may have fallen on my head.

But it
wasn't fucking yesterday!!

Ive walked the back streets of America, labored behind the wheels, wiped asses on the wards, dried out the alchies, and zombied my years away in sterile cubicles.  Ive studied in the universities, drunk in the bars, and eavesdropped on the National Chatline when nobody thought I was about.
I find very little in events of the twentieth century to recommend re-establishment of matriarchy.  American women, in general, too often abused their newfound -- and unearned -- advantages and power.  Our leaders of both parties have sold the Shop to the ladies, and seek to extend WomanChurch throughout the world, under guise of "fighting terrorism."  But if American females, handed ascendancy by law and fiat, could not resist scapegoating and oppressing their brothers these many decades past, how will mere males fare elsewhere under global matriarchy?

Abu Ghirab, baby.  Thats how theyll fare.

That little tableau was hardly surprising, being an exteriorization and dramatization of gender relations in America these past 30 years.  Abu Ghirab was conceived and executed by Western (Un)Intelligence, complete with fall-guys-n-gals!  Abu Ghirab was US telling the males of the planet: You Are Next.

Before we unleash Lady Liberty on the balance of Creation, perhaps the world ought to look closely at her recent home-works.  Perhaps the more radical elements of Islam are doing just that and justifiably are terrified at the prospect of Westernized, Empowered Woman, demanding and screeching and entitling her way through their cultures, with the Merchant Tyrant as literal Van-guard.   (Hey, torture, assassination, murder, and mass imprisonment are O.K., remember?  We're the Good Guys!)

Hear her roar! The BanShe is back! She is a whispered enthrallment wheeling through our addled noggins, she is a poison con-trail in the heaven of our minds, she is the screech of the Eternal Victim.  She is familiar and frail with age, just a wee bit o thing.  She is gowned in purity, but oh Mama oh her teeth are hollow-sharp, her apron is caked with blood, and her hatred for masculinity, that Squalling Little Brat, is old and unquenched.

Long, long ago, a measure of authority was taken from her.  She has neither forgotten nor forgiven, and there are always weak men ready to serve her.  She is Chaos: Shriveller of Seed, Devourer of Love, Bane of Men.  She never died -- not really -- and she never disappeared, but always lay dreaming of sweet revenge, sweet revenge sweetest.  We have Empowered her to the absolute max, upon her suffragist orders, and now, suddenly, the foundations of the Dwelling crumble around us.  The pit of Ground Zero yawns, spreads wide.  Suddenly, the Gingerbread House tastes like ashes.

Despite the absence of a major war, we have just witnessed the ritual sacrifice of two generations of American boys and men on the Old Grrrl's altar.   And still she hungers.

Instead of waging war on the MIddle East as preparation for global matriarachy, instead of chanting invocations to the
Bona Dea, we best get on our knees and PRAY that a comprehensive and potent Mens Movement emerges -- and quick -- throughout the Western world.

The civilization that
men have built is worth saving and conserving.   There is still time to pull out of our nosedive into hell.

And by the way: I'm o.k. with the goddess.  She's a Peech.  You'd be surprised, we actually sorta like each other.

But she's got some, ah, Intra-gender Issues to confront.  She needs An Intervention, not puerile "therapy" from numbskulls who are as confoozled as she is.  Her Sisters have gotten awful uppity lately, flying high on someone else's blood-dime, and their war against males -- Evil White Ones or otherwise -- is going to stop.

This place looks inviting from a distance, but up close, folks, it's a tangled and dangerous wood.  It is very dark in Here.  If we would return to the Womb, if we want to swim again in the deep places of Wholeness, we best bring along a Big Flashlight, and keep it trained on the dark places of ourselves.  And we best guard well the family jewells.

Let's take a tip from the disinterred bones of the awakened Ban,
Homo floresiensis: the Sisters may be tiny and dry as prunes, but their Will lives on.  They have big old owl-eyes, and they can hear a mouse fart in a typhoon.  If we call them up before sonrise, they will eat us for breakfast.

In "The Ancient Landscape Around Glastonbury," Palden Jenkins reports:

Glastonbury is regarded as a place of the Goddess. During the 1980s the island was a leading centre for feminist thought, politics and magic, and Glastonbury-think generally emphasises feminine values. Today there is a Goddess Temple in Glastonbury. Apart from the Marian dedication of the Abbey, little evidence commemorates Glastonburys Goddess connection -- yet this 'little evidence' situation applies to much of its past and consistently fails to disprove or debunk Glastonbury's mystic traditions. Many features of the local landscape and the very atmosphere of Glastonbury nevertheless evoke feminine feelings.

This feminine thread, popularly pursued in Marion Zimmer Bradleys book
The Mists of Avalon, goes back a long way. Though the book was weak on historical accuracy, it struck a strong chord, presenting a womens side of the Arthurian traditions. The Arthurian period symbolised a time of transition, where the last vestiges of the ancient sacred order were giving way to new, Christian and more profane times.

It is quite feasible that there have been significant matrifocal phases of Glastonburys prehistory -- the spirits and place-memory of Avalon whisper it during quiet moments, on dark nights, and when the Glastonbury women of today are singing together. There are strong suggestions of an ancient phase when the island was populated by women and womanly magic prevailed. The red spring at Chalice Well, the Chalice Hill, the egg-stones half-way up the side of the Tor and Brides Mound are all important to the Goddess-lovers of today, who exert a vibrant presence in the community. . . . Glastonbury today has become Britains Goddess centre, which must mean something, and women exert a strong input in the communitys culture.

Oh yah, it "means something," Palden!

That there's a
Watchtower.  What do you imagine it might be Watching out for?

LOL!

Glastonbury is now a "Goddess centre," hmm?

Who built that tower?  Who built them all?  Feminists?  Goddess-worshippers?  Was it raised by quota, through a "minority" grant, a small-business loan to a protected-class?

LOL!!  AGAIN!!

And the guardians and guides of young males -- what are they called, again?  Femtors?  Womantors?

Nah.  Even in this land of matriarchy, even in these days of P.C.-Speak, they are sti
ll Men-tors.

They're hard to find.  The real thing always is.

There is still a place for masculinity in the darkening world.  Houses of light, citadels against the rising of the blood-tide, against the Flood of the BanShe
.

Men-tors
.  Say it proudly and often.  Tell your sons.  Pretty soon, even in the "Goddess-centre" of Glastonbury, they'll hear it loud and clear.
