| I purchased my partially-built Tri-Magnum from Dietrich Pfeifer of Phoenix, Arizona on Februrary 11, 2006. By that point I had researched Tri-Magnums for nearly 2 years and purchased a set of plans. When the gas prices decided to double, I began to source parts for my own machine. I found my Tri-Magnum on an Ebay auction and many things drew me to this machine. It was close to my home, looked like it closely followed the original plans, and my favorite aspect is that it has the identical wheels that the RQ Riley/Quincy-Lynn Enterprises prototype had--ET Mags. Dietrich passed along to me a file with paperwork and old camera pictures that somewhat document the history of this machine. I am the fourth owner, and each time it has sold on Ebay. Sadly, this machine has never been finished, but I intend to put an end to that status. I don't have a scanner, so I just used my digital camera to snap some pics of items I received with my machine. Here is some about the history of my machine. |

| Paul Conley--Original Builder--Hilliard, Ohio | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Documents indicate Mr. Conley resided in Hilliard, Ohio when he sold this machine, date of sale was 12-22-2002. I was able to call a cell phone number listed in some of the documents and learned that Mr. Conley and his wife moved to Hawaii. That corresponds with his Ebay description indicating he was moving where the Tri-Magnum could not go. As of the date of this writing, my machine is in very much the same overall condition as when Mr. Conley sold it, with exception of some great engineering upgrades done by Dietrich. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Ken Johnson--2nd Owner--Sedona, Arizona | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Documents show that Ken Johnson, of Sedona, AZ, won the Ebay auction on Dec. 22, 2002, and within a week had made arrangements to have the machine trucked from Hilliard, OH out to Arizona. Based on pics, I believe it was Mr. Johnson who made the decision to make this machine a 'convertible,' and cut pieces of foam from the canopy to make permanent windshield perches out of. Additionally, Mr. Johnson obviously spent a lot of time sourcing parts to finish off the machine. According to Dietrich, Mr. Johnson is an older gentleman and found it too difficult to climb in and out of the Tri-Magnum, so decided to sell it, again, on Ebay. That auction date was the first week of May, 2003. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Dietrich Pfeifer--3rd Owner--Phoenix, Arizona | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Dietrich told me of the trip he took from Phoenix to Sedona to pick up his Tri-Magnum that he'd just purchased and how excited he was about it. He purchased it for most of the same reasons I did. Dietrich is a very creative-engineering type person, and designs his own electric bicycles and such. He made some very nice upgrades to the steering colomn latch and made a scratch-built accelerator pedal. Like many of us, Dietrich has a family and found himself needing to cash out of the Tri-Magnum, to his dismay. When I had the Tri-Magnum on the car dolly in his driveway, his neighbors were saying, "No, you can't sell it!" I have since spoken with Dietrich a couple of times and he is doing great and very deep into some very cool projects. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Russ Ivie--4th Owner--Chino Valley, Arizona | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Feburary 11, 2006 is when I picked up my Tri-Magnum from Dietrich in Phoenix. Dietrich took the chain off, and I car-dollied it about 100 miles to my house. I have since gotten it running pretty good and from time to time I run it around the block. Neighbors come out to watch me run it around, and the neighborhood kids just love it! My intent is to finish it per the plans, so the canopy will have to be rebuilt. My friend Paul stops by from time to time in hopes I am making progress. Each time I see his machine, I get so excited about mine. There is nothing like seeing one in person. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
