Public Speaking
Pageantry requires many forms of public speaking.  Often times, participating in a pageant involves introductions, interviews of some sort, spokesmodel competitions, and so on.  Before I entered the pageant world, I was quite scared of public speaking.  I can remember getting very nervous, clammy, and bright red when I had to give a speech, even if it was in front of my peers in a classroom.  Pageantry has motivated me to learn, practice, and perform these skills.  Over the last several years, this part of the competition has turned into my favorite.
Below are examples of personal introductions and spokesmodesl speeches I have used.
