Religious Freedom with Raptors (RFR) is America's premier political interest group dedicated to Native American Indian religious freedom and tribal sovereignty with bald eagle and golden eagle feathers. The RFR website covers intersections of Native American religion, Native American history, Native American rights and Native American religious freedom impacting members of state recognized tribes and federal recognized tribes. Our website also gives visitors access to Native American news, Native American law and information regarding North American birds of prey. American Bald Eagles and Golden Eagles are central to the religious practices of many traditional Native American Indians; therefore wildlife laws are laws about the freedom of religion and the establishment of religion. Wildlife laws (such as the eagle feather law, Title 50 Part 22 of the Code of Federal Regulations, 50 CFR 22), prevent access to eagles and eagle feathers for approved participants of bona fide Native American indigenous customs are unconstitutional, undermine the Bill of Rights and the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. These laws ban religious freedom on the basis of tribal enrollment and certifiability of one's ethnicity. Religious Freedom with Raptors defends the legal rights of members of state recognized tribes, federally recognized tribes, and approved participants of bona fide Native American religions and spirituality. Religious Freedom with Raptors covers intersections between racism, prejudice, culture, tribal sovereignty, tribal law and Native American Indian law issues in state and federal wildlife regulations that interfere with the religious use of eagles, hawks, falcons and other raptors. RFR endeavors to win congressional support in favor of amending the eagle feather law as well as state and federal wildlife laws in order to defend indigenous human rights, tribal sovereignty, practices protected by tribal law, and civil liberties protected by the First Amendment of the Constitution of the United States.
