SICK MAN OF EUROPE

This was the title previously given to Turkey  after the downfall of the Ottoman Empire in  which Britain played a major role.                          

 Form British schools in the sub-continent we learnt that "Do unto others as you would wish others to do unto you". But lessons are good for teaching and not for practicing. Within 2 decades of Turkey's downfall, Britain met the same fate and it now rightly deserves to claim itself to be the "NEW" SICK MAN OF EUROPE! Full circle! 

 I was watching British PM Tony Blair on BBC lashing out at the peaceful protesters of high oil prices. The way he scolded them, believe me, even a Third World dictator would never do! He has got so used to Saddam Bashing that he even treats the enlightened and educated British publics as a bunch of Iraqies. Habit is second nature!!!!  

 Enough is enough. A comparison of oil prices is given below:-  

1- U.K         $   1.13   PER LITRE.

2- GERMANY     $   0.88   PER LITRE.

3- JAPAN       $   0.83   PER LITRE.

4- U.S.A       $   0.43   PER LITRE.

5- EMIRATES    $   0.28   PER LITRE.

6- KUWAIT      $   0.21   PER LITRE.

7- IRAQ        $    0.01to 0.02 PER LITRE.

While all the refineries in the above six countries get crude oil at the international prices, only Iraq supplies it free to all its refineries as Saddam believes that the crude belongs to the people and they should not be charged for it. Even pumping, refining and delivery is subsidized. To hell with Taxes in Iraq.  

 U.S.A is the world's largest producer and the largest consumer. Still, it's price is double that of Kuwait. Why? Taxes!! And U.K is treble that of U.S and six times that of Kuwait. Why? Why should this be? Why does Tony Blair need all that tax? To make "Blair's Follies" and bomb orphanages in Iraq?

 Mr. Blair, please have mercy on your poor people. Spare them the agony of high taxes, and let them lead a peaceful, tranquil and tension-free life.

 To the Bold & Brave protesters, I say: "Keep up the good work. Bring   your despotic rulers to their senses. All our prayers are with you!!!!
