You must be noticing the obsession of the Brahmans in
building Rama’s Temple and the Jews obsession with King Solomon’s Temple. Did
you ever wonder that there must be a common denominator between the two? If so,
then what is it? Let’s check it out and see what we get:
Rama was a son of a King Dasharath.
Solomon was the son of a King David
Rama was Dasharath’s heir.
Solomon was David’s heir.
Rama’s step-brother was Lakshman
Solomon’s step-brother was Adonijah
Dasharath had many wives.
David had many wives.
Dasharath promised his wife that Rama would be made king
after 12 years of exile, in place of Lakshman.
David promised his wife that Solomon would be made king in
place of Adonijah.
It is claimed that Rama built a temple which has been
destroyed and is to be re-built.
Solomon built a temple which was destroyed, re-built and
again destroyed.
Rama fell in love with Sita
Solomon fell in love with Sheba.
Sita was retrieved from the south with the help of animals.
Sheba was retrieved from the south with the help of
animals.
Ramayan is attributed to Rama. Hindu writer Dr. Chatterjee,
M.A., Ph.D., in his book ‘OH YOU HINDU AWAKE’ writes: “Should you read the
Ramayan you will come to the conclusion that it cannot be a God revealed book.
On the other hand you will find materials of pornography, incest, lies,
cheating, etc.”
Song of Songs is attributed to Solomon. Christian writer
Robert Charroux in his book “LOST WORLDS” writes: “In reality, it is a poem of
carnal love between Solomon and his beloved. Here are some extracts from it:
“……………………” It is all charming, in a rather childish way, but where the devil can
anyone find Jesus Christ and the Holy Church in that erotic idyll?”
Rama and Sita are an ideal couple. Sita is an ideal wife of
a king.
Solomon and Sheba are an ideal couple. Sheba is an ideal
wife of a king.
The Brahmans could not safe-guard Rama’s temple and to
atone for the same, are trying to rebuild it.
The Jews could not safe-guard Solomon’s temple and lost the
Ark of the Covenant. In atonement they are desperate to rebuild it.
The high Priests in Rama’s court objected to Sita being
re-inducted because she had spent time outside and may have been debased.
The High Priests in Solomon’s court objected to Sheba being
inducted in the house-hold as she was a pagan.
Myth has it that a bridge of ‘loose rocks’ was built
between India and Lanka to retrieve Shiva.
There is a narrow coastal plain, the Tihma, 20 - 50 miles
wide, of ‘talus’ [loose rocks] between the highlands and Red sea in Yemen[which
was Sheba’s kingdom].
Rama’s birth-place is claimed to be Ayodhya. [It is also
pronounced Ajodhia in Hindi]. J and Y are inter-changeable like Jamuna in also
called Yamuna.
Solomon’s original name was Jeddiah [J in Hebrew also
pronounced as Y]. The name Solomon was given when David appointed him successor.
Only a few similarities have been enumerated just to give
you an idea. The story of Solomon and Sheba, in the days of Yore, caught the
imagination of the entire then known world, just like the episode of Diana and
Dodi in our times. This inspired every known civilization to stereotype the same
in their own tradition.
“ THE RAMAYAN TRADITION IN ASIA” published by Sahitya
Akademi, New Dehli, India[1989 edition], who are the authorities supposed to
know all about Rama and Sita states: “ Ramayana tradition made into folklore in
all South and South East Asian nations with versions, names, places
corresponding to local customs and traditions. It is equally rampant in Burma,
Nepal, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Laos, Cambodia, Philippines,
Kannada, Telegu, Japan, Mongolia and other places”.
Then again” There is an abundance of folklore in Ceylon
connected with the story of Rama and Sita. Some of these explain place-names;
some point to some special geographical features, others the lay of the land,
the positions of the hills, nooks and bends in rivers, the colours of the soil
and various curiosities. All this is folklore and nothing archaeologically
provable or tested historically [page 443-1989 ed]”.
It will interest you to know that all of it can be verified
in Yemen, the land of Queen Sheba who has been turned by legend and myth into
Sita.
In all humility I would like to acknowledge my grateful
thanks to Allah, the Lord of the heaven and the earth for His Kind Guidance in
the preparation of this article. My thanks are also due to my mentor Prof.
Shahab Siddiqui, who is an authority on these matters; to Mr. Abdul Waheed Khan,
who has translated the Holy Quran into Hindi, besides being author of numerous
books; the staff of Hub-Pak Charitable Trust, specially Dr. Ramzan and Dr.
Tabussum, without whose co-operation I could not complete this. May Allah bless
them all and Guide them all and guide us aright. Amen!
