GENETIC CODE

The last week of June 2000, will go down in the history of mankind as another memorable day comparable only to July 1969, when Armstrong set foot on the moon. Is it a coincidence or some Divine scheme of things that these two events are so remarkable, so outstanding, so profound that they have completely altered forever how we look at things from the micro as well as the macro level. Form the day man set foot on moon and subsequent putting into orbit of Hubble, SOHO and Voyager space probes, our view of the outer universe has gone on changing and we shall be uncovering and discovering nature’s treasure house of secret as the years roll on. We have still a long way to go. And now comes the de-coding of the genetic code. This has put to rest the façade of differences of religion amongst mankind and its sub-divisions like Brahmans and Untouchables, Orthodox and Un-orthodox Jews, Christian Protestants and Catholics, Shia and Sunni Muslims. In fact we are also akin to mouse, chimpanzees and even plants! Dr. Ahsan Wahidi, Director, Biological Research Center, Karachi, while giving an interview to B.B.C. stated that the DNA tape, if unwounded, would measure 400 times the distance from the earth to the sun (93000000 x400 miles). And, Dr. Wahidi, being an authority, knows what he is saying. Incidentally, the diameter of the sun is exactly 400 times the diameter of the moon (2157.6 miles x 400=863040 ).More interestingly, the distance from the earth to the sun is nearly 400 times the distance from the earth to the moon (93,000,000/400=2,32,500 miles). What should we call these ---co-incidences? Is it just plain chance or some Divine plan? It appears there is some Hidden Hand doing all this. And that Divine Unseen, through his chosen Prophet Muhammad (may Peace be upon him) told us about this almost 14 centuries back in these words:-

“WE WILL SHOW OUR SIGNS TO THEM IN THE HORIZONS OF THE EXTERNAL WORLD AND WITHIN THEMSELVES, UNTIL IT BECOMES CLEAR TO THEM THAT IT IS THE TRUTH. IS YOUR LORD NOT SUFFICIENT? HE IS WITNESS OVER ALL THINGS.”
