Beijing, Baghdad & Bush (3Bs)

It is just simply impossible for us mortals to fathom the ways of the Creator. There is a world of difference between the apparent and inherent; between reality and illusion.

 What we see does not exist ( a mirage in the desert or a rainbow in the sky); what we do not see is solid reality ( force of gravity for example).

 And the PENULTIMATE INVISIBLE REALITY is controlling all affairs not only of the world but of the entire universe.

 If we use a bit of our insight we shall soon find out that even in this age of technological advancement and drum-beating by its possessors, we are still controlled by supernatural forces. The worldly "super power" is firmly in the grip of the "Supreme Power" of the universe and has no escape.

 Take this incident of the American Spy plane. In the first place over-confidence in its technological prowess made it intrude into Chinese territory. It could have performed its mission and returned to base but the "Master Planner" had different plans. The plane was forced to land in China and the crew was returned after 11 days.

 These 11 days were very important.

 For these " 11 days " to take place the "Great Creator" manipulated things much in advance. First of all the same team which had staged the "Gulf War" was installed in office by a paltry margin of some 300 votes in a population of 250 million. This same Gentleman Powell who boasted maps and diagrams everyday pointing out which places he had bombed in Iraq was made to look like a deflated balloon for all these 11 days. Bush Senior was represented by Bush Junior and the poor chap had to atone for the sins of his father.(The younger Pharaoh was drowned as the elder had meanwhile died when Moses (PBUH) returned from exile in Midian).

 Whereas the Senior Bush was very considerate and mustered the NATO Forces to vacate Iraq from "Kuwaiti Territory", the Junior, while claiming that the spy plane was "American Territory" sat there helpless like a lame duck and could not retrieve his own territory. What a contrast!!!!!!!!!!!

 The Chinese are an at least 10,000 year old civilization. Compared to them others may be called "upstarts". The Chinese, it may be mentioned, handled the entire episode in a very dignified manner and taught the "only super power" a lesson it will remember always.

 It would be relevant to bring to your kind attention a sentence (Ayaat) from the Holy Quran:

          "By God's will, they routed them; and David slew Goliath; And God gave him  power and wisdom and taught him whatever (else) He willed. AND DID NOT  GOD CHECK ONE SET OF PEOPLE BY MEANS OF ANOTHER , THE EARTH WOULD INDEED BE FULL OF MISCHIEF: BUT GOD IS FULL OF BOUNTY TO ALL THE WORLDS" (II:251).

 May the Almighty save us from the sins of arrogance and haughtiness. Amen!
