A Glass of Water

You must be wondering: "What's in a glass of water?" NOTHING! Yes actually nothing. Go ahead, describe it's properties:- 

1. Colorless !  

2. Odorless !!

  3. Shapeless !!!

 4. Tasteless !!!!

 Is it not then an "optical illusion" that we can still "SEE" it; quench our thirst with it and bathe in it? This is how the Almighty

Maker shows us His wonders. And, Allah tells us that He created every living thing out of water. This fact was confirmed only two

centuries back when microscope was discovered and it was found that all living cells contain almost 80% water. This is the

Almighty's first step in teaching us how "things invisible" are so important to us. The LESS we 'SEE' a thing, the MORE important

it is to us. We can do without water for up to 3(three) days. After that, dehydration sets in. Consider the air we breathe. It also is

property-less like water. On top of that it is not visible to the human eye, like water, and yet we are so very much more dependant

on it that I challenge you to seal your mouth and nose tightly for 3(three) minutes only and see the result for yourself. Go ahead

and try it! Still, I hear some people say that belief in the UNSEEN is all hullabaloo. That's not enough! If you are sitting right now, I

request you to kindly stand up. Now lift your one foot above the ground by bending your knee. O.K., now lift your other foot

without jumping or holding any support. You saw that? You can't do it because the force of gravity is holding you tightly bound to

your place. This is such a mighty INVISIBLE FORCE that the entire universe is sub-servient to it. Modern science is baffled and

unable to explain what this force is. If the planet earth loses this force for only 3(three) seconds we would all be flung out into deep

space! The entire universe is full of INVISIBLE forces. Radio waves; Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Ultra-violet and X-rays to name a

few and the perplexing micro-waves with it's presence everywhere with the same intensity are all pointers trying to give us some

message. If we are unable to grasp the message, who is to blame? Prophet Moses (Pbuh) was one of the great Prophets of Allah.

Allah even spoke to Moses:- " When Moses came to the place appointed by US, and his Lord addressed him, he said: "O my Lord!

show (Thyself) to me, that I may look upon Thee". God said: "By no means canst thou see Me (direct); but look upon the mount; if

it abide in its place, then shalt thou see Me." When his Lord manifested His Glory on the Mount, He made it as dust, and Moses

fell down in a swoon. When he recovered his senses he said:

"Glory to Thee! To Thee I turn in repentance, and I am the first to believe." (Sura Araf: 7:143.)

 My dear brothers and sisters, the next time you drink a glass of water remember this verse from the Holy Quran:-

 " Do not the unbelievers see that the heavens and the earth were joined together (as one unit of creation) before WE clove them

asunder? (Big Bang?). WE made from WATER every living thing. WILL THEY NOT THEN BELIEVE?" (Sura Anbiyaa:

21:30).

 May the ALMIGHTY UNSEEN Guide us in every step that we take. Aameen.
