Chapter One Enough is
Enough!
On Strike Disclaimer: No I
do not own Gundam Wing. As much I would love to be rolling around in dough. I
don't own it so don't sue me! The most you could get is $1.55.
Duo yawned before swinging his long legs over the side of the bed as he jumped
to his feet ready to take on the rest day, fully revitalized from his nap. He
dug in the drawer for a pair of clean pants holding them up triumphantly. His
mouth dropped open as he blinked. And blinked again.
"HHHHHHIIIIIIIIIILLLLLLLLDDDDDDEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Relena gazed out the car window wishing that for once in his life Heero would
say more than ten words to her at a time. It wasn't as if he couldn't say ten
consecutive words. In fact she heard him say whole paragraphs but lately she
could barely get even nine words per reply from his lips. She rubbed her brow
wearily as the car stopped and the door opened. Unfolding her legs from the
cramped room while ignoring the silent presence of the object of her
frustration she stalked up to the front door. Heero's steps echoed behind her
as she batted at a stray tendril of her hair.
Sally sighed as another mutter of 'Injustice' came from her partner. Enough is
enough! If she had to listen to one more lecture about justice or onnas she was
positive she end up in a padded cell. She suddenly rose to her feet storming
toward Une's office. It was about time she received a vacation. No longer
caring about the endless pile of paperwork and monotonous duties she slammed
the door behind her causing the picture nailed to the dreary white wall to
tremble. As of now, she was officially on 'strike'.
Dorothy lunged again her sword making a loud 'whoosh' as she sliced at the
empty air. As much as she enjoyed spending time with Quatre the endless number
of Maganuaces everywhere she turned was turning her paranoid. She understood
their steadfast devotion but did they have to follow the blonde everywhere?
Especially, since now more than ever she needed to spend some time, alone, with
Quatre. She turned her wrist stretching it outward causing the blade to move in
a timeless deadly attack. She was not going to put up with this much longer.
Catherine grasped the large knife by the blade once again before launching it
at the target. Bullseye. At least, she was succeeding in something. Her heart
contracted painfully as she remembered the quiet indifference she had received
all month from the clown. If he didn't want to talk to her he could just leave,
he didn't have to stand all day scrutinizing her with that one green eye as she
babbled on about her day. The satisfying thud as another knife hit the target
helped soothe her nerves slightly but confusion mixed with aggravation boiled
underneath her outward display of calmness.
Noin glared at the occupant of the chair across from her. He's got to be
possessed. She clapped her hands over her ears moaning as she pushed her chair
away from the table. "Lucrenzia? What's wrong?" Her blond and
clueless companion asked laying down his fork. "Zechs, why don't you pay
Relena a visit?" "That sounds like a great idea. I almost forgot to
mention." If she had to listen to one more sentence containing Relena she
was certain she would explode. Noin tried to understand, after all they did
have a lot to catch up on but must every single conversation has something to
do with his sister? She pushed away from the table leaving the barely touched
plate as she excused herself disappearing into the safety of her quarters.
Zechs stared at her retreating back. He could feel it in the air between them.
Something was wrong.
