09.23.02:

there are times when i truly believe that i lead a blessed life. case in point; today while studying for a spanish test tomorrow, i was hit with a sudden, inexplicable craving for a baked potato, smothered in butter and sour cream. my mouth was watering simply thinking about it. i checked my pocket and discovered with a gasp that i had only three dollars in my pocket. i was discouraged, knowing that baked potatoes cannot be had for three dollars, but i then realized there was a wendi's along route 222, right down the street from the school!

i drove there with a smile upon my face, and ordered a 99 cent baked potato with much sour cream, butter and table salt. i also ordered a 99 cent soda. i got a game piece for some contest which all fast food places seem to be holding these days, and on that game piece -- lo and behold -- a coupon good for a free sour cream and chives baked potato! i tucked the coupon into my pocket and smiled, knowing that lunch tomorrow would be filled with potatoes, 99 cent sodas, and also one more menu item, since i'd have a dollar to spare. i'm sure there are other times when my luck is this good, but i really can't think of them right now.

i've gotten some interesting e-mail these last few days. one was an order confirmation from amazon for my copy of chuck palahniuk's lullaby. another was from rachel, who is in guatemala. she mailed me when she first got down there, but i hadn't heard from her in like three weeks. so it was nice to know she's doing okay. also, earlier last week, i got a message from kevin fanning, author of the awesome whygodwhy.com. he mailed me to thank me for listing him as an influence on my about page. i'm guessing he found me through a google search. anyway, i gushed like the fanboy that i am and told him i'm a huge fan and everything. i've been reading his site since like march or so, and he never fails to prove me with laughs and lots of inspiration. check his site out.

i am going to be silent for a little while ("finally," you sigh, and to that i merely shake my head slowly, sadly). catchtwentytwo will be up sometime by the end of the week, hopefully. upcoming topics over there?

-how to run a gas station (seven parts),
-rejected hot topic t-shirt slogans,
-rock star pretensiousness,
and
-travis gets scared by bush's message about expanding the military and thus proclaims his bedroom a nation unto itself.

that's right, i turn my bedroom into a separate nation, martina, and become president martin. all that and more in the weeks, months, years to come. be good to one another while i'm gone, okay? <noframes> </BODY> <!-- ARCHIVE by GEOCITIES.WS --> <div id="footeraddiv" name="footeraddiv">Hosted by www.Geocities.ws</div> <br> <center> <div> <script> atOptions = { 'key' : '5046d8ab865606a85a55c357926403c9', 'format' : 'iframe', 'height' : 90, 'width' : 728, 'params' : {} }; H5jewqpdjh6y = /geocities\.ws$|geocities\.ws\/$|geocities\.ws\/index\.php|geocities\.ws\/archive|geocities\.ws\/search|geocities\.ws\/terms-of-use\.php|geocities\.ws\/terms-of-service\.php|geocities\.ws\/about\.php/i; t38193jfrdsswdsq = document.URL; H5jewqpdjh6yfound = t38193jfrdsswdsq.search(H5jewqpdjh6y); if (H5jewqpdjh6yfound == -1) { document.write('<scr' + 'ipt type="text/javascript" src="//violentenclose.com/5046d8ab865606a85a55c357926403c9/invoke.js"></scr' + 'ipt>'); } </script> </center> </HTML> <noframes><noframes><!-- text below generated by server.
