yeah, so i'm at the video store, and i've got donnie darko and L.I.E. in my hands, and i'm happy because i'm renting good videos for the week that lindsay's gone and left my alone.  so, i'm looking for maybe one more movie, and i spot soul survivors.  "hey," i think, "it can't be too bad!  wes bentley!  oh my god, luke wilson!  and casey affleck!"  (hey, he was good in chasing amy.)  so, anyway, i rent soul survivors and it sucks.  yes, it sucks - badly.  really badly.  i knew it would, but maybe i thought the wilson performance would justify the rent.  i'd seen most everything else, anyway, so it came time i had to rent it.  but, alas, wilson's part takes up maybe ten minutes of the entire movie (it's a movie a movie not a film) and he never really even says that one line that you remember.

i watch it first for whatever reason, and it's bad.  the tape ends, and the television comes on because the movie ends, and when did mtv get to be so utterly sexually explicit?

now, i've got an hour left before i head into my first day at the amaco.  amazing.

no matter what you say, the simpsons isn't funny anymore, and the new mike meyers and adam sandler movies are going to be terrible.  i refuse to watch adam sandler is anything until punchdrunk knuckle love comes out.
