5.07.02:

i talked to rachel today, and she said how surprised she found herself being when she came to the realization that she didn't intend to keep in touch with people after high school.

"if you give me your address," said she, "i'll always send you a christmas card."

i nodded slowly.  and then thought about who i'd keep in touch with.  lou, lindsay, they're both staying local.  i'll see michelle, steph and jen; they're only going to millersville.  besides, michelle and i will never be too far apart, emotionally if not physically.  hrm.  hannah and jason are going to kutztown; i'll probably still see hannah at the shows, when they go down.  i wonder who will put on the shows once zach graduates?

[speaking of which, i added a link to rocktoberfest on the main page.  only six more months till that goes down, boyee.  did you ever read the site, zach?  i think i gave you the link.  sign the guestbook, by all means, if you have.]

i hope that all of you will continue to read my journal and keep in touch with me after school.  if you feel the need, make your own site.  or, if you don't know html, check out www.deadjournal.com or www.diaryland.com and sign up for one there.  they do all the work for you.

there's a lot i want to say to a lot of people, but i have neither the time nor energy at the moment.  lindsay is due to show up any minute now [we're staying in, again, because it's late and i've got sunburn and no money], and i'm going to devote my time to her.

i've got a new literary hero.  holden caufield has become too trendy - the new kid is named amory blaine, and he's ten times cooler than your literary hero.  he was created by my new favorite author, francis scott fitzgerald.  i laid down this side of paradise tonight, just as i was beginning a chapter entitled "experiments on convalescence," and i just said:

"damn, fitzgerald.  you are cool."
