4.13.02:

along with reel big fish, the aquabats are the band second-most responsible for getting me through high school.  their songs related to me back in ninth grade, and they still do.  "invisible man" is my personal theme song, i swear to god.

so, yeah.  just got in from the school.  i was there from 7 am to 11:40 pm, just as i anticipated, plus a little time.  in all honesty, i'm dead tired, but i'm starting to feel better about the show.  the boxes are a hard as hell change, but that's the toughest part, and it's over right after a couple scenes.  cake.

tomorrow's the breakfast, so i'll be at the school from 9 am to 5 pm.  5 pm is the earliest possible time i'll be outta there.  more than likely, it'll be around seven.  after that, there's adam's birthday party at 7:30 pm.  i'm gonna go; just hoping it isn't too wild or anything.  i would like to get into the hot tub again, though.  michelle and fallon are both going, so it should be all right.

so, yeah.  unrequited love.

fuck it.  i don't care anymore.  it's just meaningless, high school stuff, right?

right.

over the summer, i thought i had everything figured out.  i figured i'd spent so much time disconnected from people, i'd never have to worry about getting too close to them.  i'd never have to worry about being hurt.

well, i've opened myself up a lot since then, to a lot of people.  i've left myself hanging open moreso than ever before now, and that's a dangerous thing.  i guess all that's left is to cover up again, hide behind my punk and my ska and my dylan and forget the world and everyone else in it.

but, michelle, don't worry about me.  i'm ok.  i've gone through this my entire life.

thank you, though.  truly.  thank you.  words can't express how much that last entry meant to me.  thank you.  you're the nicest person i know, and i know a fair-sized amount of nice people, believe you me.

i went on a renting kick this week, first one in a while.  at first, i was just gonna get training day and heist, since they were all out of copies of mullholland drive.  however, the friendly clerk alerted me to the newest in-store promotion - a rent one, get on free deal.  i signed up for it, and got zoolander and a copy of mullholland drive that had just been recently returned.  so far, i've only watched drive, and everything you might've heard about it is true.  freakishly surreal, like most lynch films.  much better than lost highway, not as good as the elephant man (the best movie i've seen that he's made).  watched some of zoolander with steph in study hall, but mr. eller came into the studio in the middle of an erection joke, and we felt awkward and thought up an excuse to leave.

i think i'm gonna go watch the rest of it.

ciao.

is that even spelled right?
