4.06.02:

wow.

if you'd have told me, just around seven hours ago, that i would feel this good about the show, i'd have told you you were lying.  it's unbelievable how well things turned out tonight.  i have no idea what brought the change across but...wow.  damn.

i'm happy now.  much happier with things than i was before practice.  everything just clicked, and i'm sure anyone that's ever done a show knows what i'm talking about.  jen said the other day, "i keep waiting for the time when i ask people how the show is, and they all say 'it works.'  i keep waiting for the time that it clicks."

i thought after she said that, if it doesn't happen by friday, it won't happen at all.

well, tonight, it happened.

thank christ.

last night, rachel had mentioned going to see a movie or doing something, and talked about it tonight too, but she took off right after practice ended.  amber and i decided to go to jenny's; we called fal and rachel to see if they wished to go.  rachel had gone to alyssa burkhart's; fallon we picked up and took along.  scott, amber's brother, came as well.

we got there, and adam, allison and tyler m. were all in a booth.  after we got our food, liz and tracy stauffer all showed up, too.  and whilst i called my mom on adam's cell phone, fallon's prom date, weidler, showed up as well.  i sat with him at prom last year, but i honestly don't know if i talked with him at any stage.  he seemed cool, from the few words i said to him.  fal hadn't seen him in a while, so good for her.  i ate some eggs, toast and home fries and listened to neil diamond and boston on the jukebox in the booth.

scott and fallon took creamers along and threw them out the car window at oncoming traffic.  a few cars put on their brakes, and one even started to turn around.  we pulled off onto a couple side streets and avoided them.

took off from there, arrived home around quarter twelve, and sat down here to tell you all about it.

it's snowing, and i had to go like 30 miles per hour almost the entire way home, which sucked, because i'm tired and just wanted to get home where it was warm.  but, 89.1 played ac/dc (big balls), the who (baba o'rielly) and led zeppeling (heartbreaker), so it was a nice trip home.

i'm tired, and yet i know sleep will elude me for a little while longer, at least.  i drank two cups of coke at the diner.

i feel good.  positively, absolutely good, for the first time in a long time.

and i think it's nice.
