friday, finally. well, saturday, but whatever. it's early, and i need to hit the sack soon. work in the morning.
school seemed to drag. probably because i was looking forward to the week being over. it ended, eventually. i just couldn't take another day in there, i swear to the almighty. i would've gone nuts. i've said it before, at the end of previous weeks, but i mean it with this one.
another day in school, with the same people, and the same classes, and the same building, and i would've just lost it.
after school was good. met fallon at my locker, where we made plans for the night. she had to yell at one of the dancers for missing play practice last night. from there, we were off.
first i had to cash my paycheck, which i did at the fulton across the street. it turns out that the bank took an annual withdrawal from my account, the money i pay for other people to keep my money, so there was negative five dollars in my account. so, i ended up depositing ten bucks, and had ninety for my pocket.
after that, we headed for park city. i had to get fitted for the tux i'm going to be wearing for the fashion show, so we headed for there. however, there was an accident somewhere along 222, and we were mucho delayed. made a couple detours, eventually got to the tux place (a little late).
got a straight up black deal, at least for the fashion show. just a black vest, black shoes, black coat. bling bling. i put a deposit down on my prom suit, which i'll go back to pick out with michelle sometime down the road, i guess.
we were hungry after that. hadn't been to park city, the mall itself, since this time last year when i needed a tux, and i had no idea park city had changed so much in that time. i was used to berkshire. almost literally every shoppe is fake surf clothing, which fallon and i made fun of.
anyway, we got some grub at tgi friday's. i had some chicken fingers, because i'm not really even a vegatarian at all anymore. sigh. food was good, so was the conversastion. i like talking to fal.
after that, we still weren't sick of each other, so we went to check out Zach Smith's Goth Band, which is what i've been referring to them as up until a couple days ago, when i discovered they were named vertigo. anyway, hit the show around sevenish, last thursday was on. they played "chick magnet," and i honestly think i like their version better. nate weaver is a rock star, damnit. someone sign them.
anyway, zach came on next, and announced that they were no longer vertigo, but were reborn and rechristened bloodline. he didn't say reborn, though. or rechristened. he could've, though. at any rate, i liked them. zach played the synth, which was a change of pace from the two chord punk bands which you usually see at their shows. it didn't really seem like fal's cup of tea, as she spent the entire time hiding behind me, trying to block the sound, and avoid the pathetic mosh pits that always manage to form. i liked it, though. it was loud, and just sounded damn professional. i just wish i liked loud music.
cool people there. i saw shumann for the first time since like november or december, which was ultra cool. i miss the guy. abbi was there, said hi to her. saw mike weber, i was surprised he showed up, never took him for the type to go to shows. shumann yelled "dwight, you are god" when last thursday played, which was pretty funny.
i didn't feel like sticking around for fatal exchange much, and when i told fallon they were just as loud as bloodline, she agreed. so, we made the final rounds, and then took off.
decided to head out to reading, me: "i think lou's working with lisa," fallon: "we should stop up there!" took a slight detour up to bob's, saw lou and got some reese's pieces and soda. talked with lou for a while, not too shortly thereafter, lisa showed up. she was waiting for lou to get off work at nine. little bit after that, we took off.
we'd planned on seeing a movie all along, so i took her to my movie theatre out in reading. i had no clue what was playing, i haven't gone to see anything since black hawk down, i think. there's really been nothing i wanted to see up until then. blade II looked okay, but was sold out for the ten o'clock showing. fallon was like "what about forty days and forty nights?" i must've made some sort of face but smiled and nodded, because she was like "will you complain about it?" i took one for the team and just decided to check it out.
was all right. it really wasn't my sort of movie. lots of sex humour, which i go for, but not too much else, which i don't go for. i hate josh hartnett, and that was a reason i didn't really enjoy it - it was just a lot like other teen movies i've seen, a lot like all the other movies out right now, if you want the truth. but, fallon enjoyed it, and it did have its moments. so cool.
next week both panic room and death to smoochy open, so i might have to take a couple trips to the theatre then.
dropped fal back at the school where her car still was, got in, and sat right down at the comp. now, i'm just chilling with some raspberry cocktail, listening to some neo-psychodelic which i've gotten addicted to, relaxing in the afterglow of a nice night overall. good evening, good company. i do love you, fal.
rest of the weekend, though, shall suck. tomorrow, gotta work from 12-8, and then come right home and get started on page one of seven for the finished honors english product. sunday, i get up for church, which i may just skip, then come home, work on english till 2, then head for work, and get home around ten. after that, finish up whatever else i've gotta do on the paper.
plus, weidmann has assigned a book report, which is due wednesday, i think. i think, i say. what a great honors english student i am. ah well. fuck it. i've made it four years through the program, one of only like five boys to do it, they drop like flies for whatever reason. it's an accomplishment for me, if you want the truth.\
almost one. gotta be up in around ten hours. sleep time.
