argh. i don't know what to think about anything anymore. everything seems so confusing when you sit and analyze every conversation you have with people - i wish i could just let sleeping dogs lie or whatever, but i can't.
so, like, went to lunch with lisa and lou today. was cool. i hadn't been to the buffet in quite some time. it was good, as usual. i was starved, but didn't eat that much. still getting over the whole sickness thing, i guess.
oh, note to self - look up glengarry ross on the imdb. i don't know of the movie, but i think it's supposed to be good. it's got kevin spacey, al pacino, ed harris and jack lemmon, so, even if it's not all that great, the acting's there. david mamet wrote it, so the story should be good. still wanna see hiest. anyway, after lunch, we went to cash converters, where i found they were having a two for one sale on vhs. so, i bought the crow, rounders, glengarry ross, and celebrity. like most woody allen films of late, celebrity is supposed to be all over the place, but i love hank azaria, and it looks good, so i bought it. the crow and rounders i've both seen before, so there was no risk involved there.
three days till jay and silent bob strike back is out on dvd. wheeee. can hardly wait.
ok, looked the movie up on the database. apparently, pacino got a best actor nom for it. wow. some film geek i am.
spent the rest of my day downloading music. picked up some lou reed, elvis costello, bouncing souls, bob dylan, iggy pop.
argh. gotta be at work in 23 minutes. there's people on aim, but they all have away messages up. none of them can help me from the despair that is impending work. gotta go work with lisa, james and kim - shoot me. at least lisa will be there, make it somewhat endurable. i'm more than willing to bet that both kim and james called off, leaving lisa and i all night, and that they'll then talk me into staying there all night. not that i'd really mind. i need the hours. steph good just got on and off the net. can't anyone help me in my sorrow!?
i listen to a whole lot of the velvet underground, but never any of lou reed's solo stuff. adam brumbaugh burned me a bunch of the songs from the trainspotting soundtrack, and his "perfect day" song on that is amazing. i've heard mixed reviews about his solo work (metal music is supposed to be really bad) but that song is great.
15 minutes. i can't put this off anymore. gotta get ready for work.
