heh.

so, the goatee is gone.  i must say, and i know this sounds stupid, i miss it.

i do.  i started out simply trimming it down a little, trying to clean it up, and eventually i got to thinking..."i don't even like it."

so, i just shaved it off.

now, i wish i would've taken a picture before i shaved it, because i think it looked all right.  i could've posted the pic here, done a little "before and after" thing.  but, alas, i did no such thing.

couple of reasons why:

1)  it itched.

2)  i grew it strictly for the show, and the show's done.  maybe this act was me unconsciously acknowledging the end of the show, moving on, putting that aside and getting into the musical.

3)  i started growing it a little bit before abbi dumped my ass, and, to be honest (i know this sounds REALLY stupid) it sort of helped.  it was almost there as a barrier, something to keep the world from seeing the whole me at a time when i didn't want the world to know everything i was thinking at any given moment.

then, today, something happened that made me feel really good.  somebody asked me something, and the answer i gave them wasn't the same as it would've been two, maybe even one week ago.

upon further reflection, i realized that i've moved on.  i've dealt with my personal issues, i've gotten over them, and i've moved on.

so.
