A spell is simply a projection of a wish or desire into the universe where it can take physical form. Prayers and affirmations are forms of spells.
In a world where one in every two children in the world go to bed hungry each night . . . where a child somewhere will die of hunger in the next three minutes . . . where more children live in poverty than any other age group . . . and where physical and sexual abuse of children has become epidemic worldwide, every caring person must begin to take responsibility and do something about it.
Please stop a moment this Midsummers and say a spell for the children.
Suggested spell:
"May all earth's children be protected from all harm. May every child have food to eat, shelter from the elements, and freedom from fear. May every action against every child rebound to the person who would harm a child. Blessed Be!"
We also ask that you light candle or incense, or conduct a ritual -- as your personal religion dictates -- to reinforce the spell.
Please remember that "all earth's children" includes the young of every species. Human children are in mortal danger, but so are the wild creatures who share the planet with us.
