| Dragon Con 2001- Nightmare Stories Unfortunately as much fun as Dragon Con was there will always be some people who will try to ruin it for everyone. Here is my nightmare story which took place late friday night. We had returned to our room that night after dinner and everyone suited up again at Stormtroopers. We proceeded down to the crowed lobby and I was immediately assaulted by two drunk women who ripped the thermal detenator tank off my armor. At first I thought they were going to run with it but I eventually got it back from them. The same ladies then began to try and pull my drop boxes off. Luckly, they were very well glued on. This experience disturbed me a lot. I had heard of people trying to steal things off trooper armor but this is the first time it had ever happened to me. |
| Then as if this were not enough another woman tried to pull one of my glove armor pieces off. It came flying off my hand and slid down the escalator to be collected by a member of our group. Thank goodness for the garrison. While we did get some pretty cool video and still pictures in the tunnel that night it was a horrible night for me. To top it all off on the way back to the room I got caught in the elevator and it crushed my armor like a trash compactor. Luckly no damage was done but the thermal detenator tank fell off and broke into its component parts. Looks like its time for more glue! |

| The Star Wars Cantina Story- On friday night we all suited up in gear to attend the Star Wars Cantina. We figured we would storm the place and take it over. These people would have to learn soon or later that the Empire City Garrison was in charge, right? Well imagine our surprise when we get there and a Star Wars panel is still going on. Now we may have been a bit rowdy but they way the people looked at us you would think we killed someone. HOW DARE WE SHOW UP TO A STAR |
| WARS PANEL DRESSED AS STAR WARS CHARACTERS!?!?! Needless to say the Star Wars Cantina was a bust, no music, no bar and we never went back. What a waste! |

| SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 1, 2001- This really and truly was the BIGGEST day of the convention for costumes and parties. Up to this point I was thinking "ya know I have seen anything THAT crazy yet..." Boy, would that opinion change tonight! |
| Saturday afternoon I ran into Vera who was dressed as a totally cool Lara Croft. Oh my more PVC! |
