MechWarrior Kristopher

Background:
Kristopher is the son of an older Jade Falcon MechWarrior relegated to garrison duty, whom he only saw twice when he was very young. He was raised by his mother, a technician, who taught him everything she knew. Kristopher was always fiddling with something and took apart anything he could get his hands on. His mother would put him to sleep will tales of warrior caste life, which always seemed to feature his father. Possibly because of these, her son aspired to become a MechWarrior, with her blessing.
Training was difficult. Like more trueborns his Falconer detested freeborns and his position training them. Any failure, no matter how slight or imagine, was met with intense ridicule. Kristopher had difficulty with the physical test and did not get along well with the other cadets. He proved more adept at tactics and the technical aspects of Battlemech operation but always felt his Falconer kept marking him artificially low, though he earned an �adequate� in light mech piloting.
Assigned a Kit Fox for his Trial of Position, Kristopher made an unorthodox choice and went with the D variant. His first opponent, a Mist Lynx used her superior speed and mobility to outmaneuver him. She mauled his frontal armor while taking very little damage herself. The tables turned when Kristopher managed to take the lighter mech with a NARC missile. He then fell back, firing wave after wave of LRMs at his adversary, eventually downing her and securing his future in the warrior caste. Low on ammo, and having barely defeated one opponent, he chose not to try for Star Commander.
Like most freeborn warriors, Kristopher has seen only garrison and low-priority convoy escort duties, though he was rotated to the Jade Falcon occupation zone. His one engagement was a defensive action against Clan Wolf during Khan Marthe Pryde�s campaign on Coventry. It ended badly, with his mech swatted down by a heavy machine, almost before the battle had begun. Kristopher now finds himself on Goat Path, a frontline rock with little value other than its location.
Personality:
Kristopher is a coward, but he has a strong sense of honor, although is afraid to show it, because of previous experiences. He is a relatively shy, reclusive person who has no close friends. He tends to service his mech himself, afraid that other MechWarriors might tamper with his machine because of his status and history. Kristopher has his strengths but is mostly dismissed because he is not a trueborn. He is usually the one in the corner of the bar fiddling with something he found on the battlefield or playing a modified version of chess on his data pad.
Physical Description:
Kristopher is about 6� tall, weighs about 110 lbs with black hair and hazel eyes. He has no distinguishing features, besides a scar that runs down his left arm, a souvenir of his only battle.
