just got back from the theater. no doubt you all know which movie i went to see.
*sigh*
harry potter....
sucked big time.
*some spoilers will follow*
character-wise, i thought the casting crew did a splendid job on harry, draco, madame hooch, filch the caretaker, neville and hagrid. hermione was acted pretty well to character, only problem i had with her was her prettiness. where's the buck teeth?? they totally messed up dumbledore tho- all his funny lines were gone and snape just wasn't gaunt enough.
story-wise, i have a sinking feeling that if i hadn't read the books before watching the movie, i'd have no idea what was going on. the story draaaaggggged too. and they all spoke way too softly- i could hardly hear them through all the kids in the theater.
anyways, i'm still glad i watched it tho. it's one of those movies that you just need to see, no matter what. it's like star wars i or titanic hype. oh well, they'll have 6 more movies to improve, i guess.

btw, in case anyone's interested, i'm gonna auction off some stuff on ebay today- mostly manga, some doujinshi, some jrock stuff, fantasy books, etc. they're all in really good condition, it's just that i don't have the room to store them all. anyways, i'll post the auction page later once i get everything scanned in.

okay, this is just a short post to let you know that i'm still alive. just barely tho. midterms and projects are finally over for now and i've got just one more first-round interview to go (yippee). so, this weekend will be a much needed recovery period during which i'll hopefully be able to finish all my hw by saturday afternoon. that way i'll have a day and a half to ponder a new layout and name for serendipity and to create a blog for my fellow love-boaters.
well, with that said, i suppose it's time to get my mental arse moving. laters people.

happy halloween everyone! did you know this is the first halloween in 46 years to have a full moon? and the next time this'll happen is in the year 2020. hope your skies are clear enough to see that moon tonight!

annnyyyways, back to real life. this year, like the previous several years, there aren't any trick-or-treaters at all. kinda depressing.... it's gotten to the point that we didn't even bother preparing candy. seems just like any other day- boring! and to think i live in nyc too... why is life so boring?? oh well, a few more months of this hum-drum existence and then it's graduation and the real world for me. can't say i'm excited since i don't have any job offers. this entire term so far, i've been feeling very tense, stretched nearly to the point of breaking. the pressure-- argh, i can't take it anymore. if you don't hear from me again, you'll know that i've finally lost it and ran away into the wilderness somewhere. if there even is a wilderness nearby...
*sigh* okay, i'm sick of complaining about my life again (and i'm sure you're sick of reading about it). sorry, no sb tonight, i'm not in the right mood. later, maybe.

version 4 took me an entire weekend on the pc to work out, tho the idea itself germinated while i was in taiwan. it features dark and daisuki of d.n.angel, an extremely funny manga by yukiru sugisaki. the base image was taken from offramp, which btw, has lots of translations and info on the series. stuff was designed and edited by me using adobe illustrator and photoshop. and lastly, you know the drill by now: don't take for your own use! thanks for your patronage, do please come again!
