This is the final call for Reiki Masters to attend this year's Reiki Masters' Gathering, which is going to be held in at Vaughan Park just north of Auckland. The NZ Reiki Masters' Gathering is open to all Reiki Masters of all lineages who are either resident or visiting NZ at the time of the Gathering. All are welcome. We hope that you can come along. This is your event for the year. It's an opportunity to hear what others are doing with Reiki, to meet your Reiki peers and to just relax and enjoy a weekend in the Master energy of Reiki.
When booking please include a $50 deposit. Booking/cheque are to be sent/made out to NZ Reiki Masters Gathering, PO Box 28728, Remuera, Auckland.

Reiki Master Liam Richards, of Palmerston North, has set up a Yahoo Group at for Reiki Practitioners. If you would like to join just send him an email at that address. A Yahoo Group allows people to discuss subjects via email. When you send the group an email it will go to everyone on the group's email list. It's a great way to share ideas/thoughts about Reiki.

We have set it up as the official Home of the Reiki cuddles, and a place where Reiki practitioners, Masters, and those interested can come and share the healing love and Blessings of Reiki.

Lawrence Ellyard, who recently had an article about the Buddhist origins of Reiki in the Rainbow News, will be holding Reiki Classes in Auckland during January and February 2003.

We all know that animals love Reiki. Reiki Masters Anka and Ljubomir Bosanac have a cat that loves Reiki so much it joins them on Group Nights The Bosanac family hold Reiki group nights at their home in Mt Eden, Auckland every Tuesday evening. And the group is happy to have the cat join them
The 10th Reiki Retreat at TaupoNext year will be the 10th year the Reiki Retreat will be held at the Tauhara Centre at Taupo. It is a great way to relax for a weekend and to get in touch with other Reiki practitioners. You can arrive at the Retreat either Friday evening or Saturday morning and leave Sunday or Monday afternoon. Accommodation is normally a very comfortable bunk in a four-bunk room with shared bathrooms facilities or you can book into a flat or cottage (at an extra cost).

Reiki Master Liam Richards, of Palmerston North, intends making Reiki Teddy Bears. Each Bear, being hand made will be unique, and will come with it's own 'Birth Certificate' and a copy of Usui's 'Reiki Principals'.
It is intended to sell these bears through usual retail outlets that work with natural therapies, and possible through Reiki Masters around the country(perhaps one day,throughout the world).
These bears are intended to bring Reiki to many people who would not usually receive the benefits of a Reiki treatment, and perhaps heal and 'de-stress' many people who not usually receive the benefit of a Reiki Treatment.
Liam hopes that over time various Reiki Masters will 'sponsor' the Reiki Bears into Children's wards of hospitals and hospices and Children's Hospitals. These bears could bring the gift of Reiki Healing to sick and terminally ill children, who would otherwise not receive such healings. In the same way, we would like to see Reiki Masters sponsoring these Reiki Bears to hospices and other organisations that care for the terminally ill.
