Hi, I am Craig J Farquharson.
I am an independent traditional Reiki Teacher living in the South Island of New Zealand. I have been a practitioner of Reiki since 1994, and have taught Usui Reiki Ryoho since 1997. Reiki is a path of self improvement, based on an energy healing method and teachings of Usui Reiki Ryoho( Usui Reiki Method ). Developed by Japanese Tendai Buddhist Mikao Usui in the 19th Century. Reiki is an esoteric science, which is benevolent to all people in their basic human right to achieve positive balance in their health and and personal awareness.

Reiki is about healing and personal change, and as part of this community, I feel that for it to have integrity, Reiki teachings and practice, need to be sound and correct. By presenting Reiki in a transparent way, this allows Reiki to express itself.

My own training also includes psychodynamic counselling/psychotherapy and extensive psychodrama and groupwork skills. I have a broad esoteric background and knowledge base, with over a decade of personal development experience. I would describe my spiritual beliefs as holistic.
