My interest in Reiki was sparked in 1990/91, but even to this day I cannot quite recall where I first heard of Reiki. I just knew it was there and I wanted to experience it. At that stage I was living in Western Australia and Reiki Teaching was in its infancy stage there. Through Reiki Master/Teachers such as Barbara Weber-Ray, Beth and John Gray visiting from overseas, we slowly developed a Reiki community. In 1993 I found a local Master/Teacher and was attuned to Level I. Level II followed soon after. At that stage I had a well established Aromatherapy practice and intended to incorporate Reiki as an enhancement of Earth Healer Aromatherapy, which is exactly what it did. I am a fully qualified Aromatherapist, accredited through the International Federation of Aromatherapists. Between 1993 - 1996 I assisted several Reiki Master/Teachers with their attunement groups, which deepened my understanding of Reiki and its many methods of application (even how to get a flat battery to keep on going!)
      I relocated to NZ during 1998 and met Lisa Ellen Mills, my Kiwi Master/Teacher during 2001. April 2002 I did Reiki III and commenced my Master Apprenticeship, which was completed in November 2002.
      I now hold small groups for Reiki Training, a maximum of 4 people and I am quite happy to respond to individual needs and run private training. Our Reiki Sharing days are there for all to enjoy, give and/or receive Reiki, have a yarn and a cuppa, all welcome.
      We also have a first class small B & B here, so anyone who is out of town or local townies looking for a Retreat experience can enjoy the tranquillity of The Bay.
