Story

One evening, Mario had a strange dream. He dreamt of a long, long stairway leading up to a door. As soon as the door opened, he was confronted with a world he had never seen before spreading out as far as his eyes could see. Suddenly, he heard a faint voice saying "Welcome to 'Subcon', the land of dreams. We have been cursed by Wart. Pleas defeat Wart and save us. Remember, Wart hates vegetables. Please help us!"

The next day. on the way to a picnic, Mario talked to Luigi, Toad, and the Princess about the strange dream he had. After arriving at the picnic area, they found a small cave. When they opened the door in this cave, to their great surprise. the world that Mario saw in his dream spread out before them.

Character Abilities

Jumping power

Mario  He has average jumping power that decreases a little when he is carrying an item.

Luigi  He jumps the highest and can jump farther than Mario. But when he has an item, his jumping ability decreases a lot.

Toad  Toad has the least jumping power. Holding an item does not affect his jumping.

Princess  She is third in jumping ability, but she can float while in the air. When carrying an item her jumping power decreases quite a bit.

Running Speed

Al characters run at the same speed but if they are carrying an item the order from slowest to quickest is the Princess, Luigi, Mario, and Toad.

Picking up Items

From slowest to quickest: The Princess, Luigi, Mario, and Toad.

Tips

If you stand on an enemy and press the B button, you will be able to lift up the enemy and can throw it at other enemies.

Tricks

Running Jump Jump by pressing either the right or left side of the control pad and using the A button while running. You can jump higher than a jump on the spot.

Power Squat Jump The player will flash when the bottom of the control pad is pressed and held. When you jump, you will be able to jump 1.5 times higher than regular jumps.

Sub-Space If you find a magic poition, try throwing it. When you do that a door will appear. You'll enter the subspace if you press the top of the control pad while infront of the door. The grass in Subspace will turn into coins until you use magic twice in that area. If you place a door in a certain place place, there will be a heart that will increase your life meter.

Warp Vases Some vases are inaccessible in the real world. Try throwing a magic potion on top of one, go into Sub-Space and go down the vase. It may just be a warp to a different world.
