Story

One day the kingdom of the peaceful mushroom people was invaded by the koopa, a tribe of turtles famous for their magic. The quiet, peace loving Mushroom People were turned into mere stones, bricks and even field horse-hair plants, and the Mushroom Kingdom fell into ruin.

The only one who can undo the magic spell on the Mushroom People and return them to their normal selves is Princess Toadstool, the daughter of the Mushroom King. Unfortunately, she is presently in the hands of the great Koopa turtle king.

Mario, the hero of the story hears about the Mushroom People's plight and sets out on a quest to free the Mushroom Princess from the evil Koopa and restore the fallen kingdom of the Mushroom People.

Tricks

Teleported Goombas- start of 8-1; there is a buzzy beetle and 3 goombas; kick the buzzy beetle andstop when the third goomba is on the right of the screen; walk forward and goombas will come from nowhere

Hangin in the wall- when there is a wall of blocks hanging from the ceiling, move right until there is about 1/2 block space between the wall and the edge of the screen; when your in the wall hold down & press B very quickly; you will be sucked to the right of the wall

Mario dance- climb up to the top of a vine and hold up

More lives- kick a koopa into 8 other koopas

Negative World- At World 1-2 before you enter the pipe, break 2 blocks so that the one on the end is there; 1.duck 2. jump back toward brick so that you don't break it 3. jump down the first pipe you see
