William Henry Fanning was born on January 23rd 1852 in New Market, Alabama . He was first married to Martha Elizabeth Brown. They had 6 children :
1. Stephen �Stevie� Fanning born February 23rd 1871 and died January 20th 1934.
2. Parks Fanning was born June 28th 1873 and died October 1st 1957.
He married Catherine Jacks. They had 3 children:
a. Lilee Fanning, she married Snyder. Their daughter was Juanita.
b. Leslie Fanning (male)
c. Raborn S. Fanning married Earnest Wilbern Honea. They had two children Agnes and Mable.
3. Milton �Melt� Fanning was born July 6th 1876. He married Laura. Their daughter was Janie Fanning.
4. Sophronia �Fronie� Fanning Rich was born February 1881 and died 21 May 1963.
5. Flora Fanning was born September 14th 1886 and died December 6th 1950. She married J. C. Jacks he was born September 1st 1884 and died June 6th 1947.
6. George Fanning was born February 2nd 1889. He went to live with Melt and Laura. He married Nan and they had 2 boys. One's name was Travis. They lived in Mississippi
Mollie Ella Allison was born April 25th 1866 in Mulberry, Tennessee . She had 7 siblings. Their family lived on the Tennessee/Alabama state line and their house was situated so that they ate in one state and slept in another.
Mollie married Riley Fanning and they had 2 sons and one daughter:
1. Jonah Hassel was born July 10th 1898 near New Market, Alabama. At his birth Mollie �was not attended by a physician but by a midwife Rachel Fanning (Hassel�s grandmother) . Hassel married Dewey Hill and had a son named Roy, they live in Tennessee.
2. Elisha Riley (E. R.) married Ixie Howard in New Market and they had a daughter, Dorthea that became a nurse . E. R. died at the age of 87 on July 25th 1983. He was living in New Market and was buried at Rice Cemetery.
3. Annie married Lowe Sharp and had a son-Orville and 2 daughters-Etoyle and Lela. She died in her 30�s . They lived in a big house off of Triana Blvd it faced the Merrimack Mill.
After Riley and Elizabeth died, Mollie and William Henry Fanning were married. They had one child, Henry Lowe Fanning. He was born on February 16th 1908, Mollie was 41 years old and William was 52.

I'm not sure when this picture was taken but guesses could be made by the age of Henry Lowe. But there seems to be snow on the ground...it must have been winter time.
