We reach the mountaintop!
After hiking up the mountain all day we were ready for rest. Dave and Barb check in to their luxury accomodations. The Halley's cabin is next door. The restroom facilities are down the path (if you get the drift).

The next day...heading back down the mountain.
Going down is easier. Of course it is raining...and there is sheer dropoff of a few hundred feet...and the trail at this point is only about 24 inches wide...but there is a steel cable to hang on to. Did I mention that Peg hates heights?
Back at the Buckhorn Inn
After two days hiking mountain trails and one night sleeping in an unheated mountaintop cabin, those back porch rockers are mighty inviting!
