The Del Coronado is one of the last of the "grand old hotels". This has been a playground for the very rich for over a century. Many presidents have stayed here and even used the elegant dining room for state dinners. A long list of movies and television programs were filmed here...most notably "Some Like it Hot" with Marilyn Monroe, Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon. Staying here will cost a fortune. Since most of us can't afford that, you might consider visiting them for their well known Sunday Brunch. |
