Combine meatball ingredients thoroughly and roll into 1 inch balls. Brown the meatballs in a skillet with 2-3 TBS olive oil. Drain meatballs on paper towels.
In a saucepan combine the sauce ingredients. You can really vary this dish by the types and amount of hot sauce you choose. Tabasco is always good. Louisiana hot sauce will give it a Cajun feel. Use Cholula sauce or stir in 2-3 tsp chili powder for a Mexican-style dish. Heat sauce to boiling and add the meatballs. reduce heat, cover and simmer for 1 hour. |
