Kiels' Aardwolf Page

Leveling Guide

About the Guide
This guide was made before V2. of aardwolf came in. There have been alot of changes and alot opf additions to Aardwolf sence it was made. Yes, I did "swipe" it from another webpage - I believe it was originally on Galadriels webpaged. I'd much appriciate *NOTES* in aardwolf on personal board to "Kiels" with suggestions for changes for when I get time to make some changes in it.

Please do keep in mind that I do not really support the usage of a leveling guide like this, and there have been certain changes in the game that makes the use of such guides less effective than they were in past. Also please check "help mobdeaths", the command is great for finding mobs of the right level and alignment to kill.

When done you can check my map page.

When you start playing you will need one of these to get you through the levels to become a superhero if your a newbie.

When you try to level using this guide I do recommend you to choose your alignment as good otherwise you will get very lousy experience killing mobs in the areas that are mentioned in this guide. (When people with good alignment get 100 experience points from one mob you will get below 20).

Level 1-5: These levels are not a problem to get. You need not worry about equipment just yet. (Although if you are female you could ask clan Amazon members for their bracers and earrings what boost up your wis and con by 2). You should go right to the cage rooms in MUD school and kill the monsters there until you are level 4. Grab a yellow visitors band to the Lowlands from the visitor and an adventurers guild diploma from the combatant at the end of MUD school. At this point you are ready to go to the Lowlands (2s6en;unlock west;open west;w from recall) and get yourself some low level eq and a garbage can from Garbage (this is a your first small mini-quest where you need 4 keys total to get to Garbage, the can itself is a portal to recall without moves cost). If you are done with this you can level right there in Lowlands and get ready for harder levelling.

Level 6-44: 6-15 is yet again no problem to get. Go straight to Mob Factory located south-east from Midgaard and kill supervisors, fidos, managers and janitors there. They are all evil aligned and a great exp till level 15 or even 17 if you find levelling elsewhere hard. Now you can move to either Drow City or Underdark, but always consider mobs before killing them, because some of the mobs can easily kick your ass in a couple of hits. At about level 23 you should move on to Dominia. Enter jet mox at the entrance. Most of the mobs are vulnerable to fire here, if you can use whip get Searing Blaze. Kill bog wraiths, murk dwellers, khabal ghouls, phrexian gremlins, bog imps, initiates, member of ebon hands, angels, horrors, nightmares and lich. There are also some agressive mobs, and a certain mob, invisible Ishan's Shade assists to some mobs so beware. You can get easy exp there till about level 32. Not sure where you should level between Dominia and Descent of Hell, but if you are strong I think you can move to Hell right after Dominia. Hell is full of great exp mobs, but before level 40 stay away from lower levels. Also if Hell is crowded, try sailors, pirates and other non-sanced mobs in Pirate Ship.

Level 45-59: Now you can buy sanctuary potions from Potion Seller in Midgaard. They cost a small price of 250 and they last for 4 ticks. Sanctuary give you 35% protection versus mobs. Descent of Hell is still a fine levelling locale, and so is Pirate Ship. At level 50 you could buy some open clan weapons from Crusaders (sword and mace) and use them on mobs in Yurgach. But if you can't use mace or sword, try to get dagger with stab or whatever piercing damage type, and kill 3 morgrasses in Yurgach. Although they assist, they are not a tough are great and easy exp, but it takes a damn lot of time before you kill them.

Level 60 - 80: You got yourself 3x (600 hp) and 4x (800 hp) healing potions. These levels I think are most easy to get. Klingon Jailor in ST:TNG is easy, if you have a piercing weapon. Jenny's Tavern has some mobs, and you can even try Northstar, but if you aren't a thief, stay away from priests, very hard level 110+ sanced aggressive mobiles who are hell to kill. About time to get yourself amulet of planes for quests in Lower/Upper Planes, and you could even try to kill mobs for exp there. Before you notice you will be level 80.

Level 80 - 100: Blood ring nobles, rats and flies are good exp in Northstar. In Tai'rha Laym there are imps in the pits past Necromancer. Borgs in ST:TNG are also easy to kill, but not so easy as a year ago, after ST:TNG was made harder for levellers. These levels are quite hard to get, don't ask why just check yourself.

Level 100 - 130: These levels are again not hard to get. Might try out Into the Long Night. The Demons of Lust, Lies, Despair, Pride, Gluttony and Chaos are great for the first levels and after lvl 115 the Demons of Envy are nice exp. The Demons of Greed are to be avoided there because they steal from you and it isn't like the regular steal where the cash is still with the mob. It is a nasty little mobprog that just drains your pocket quite efficiently. Dark Elf Stronghold has drow servants and large gardeners for smaller and Trivani guards for upper levels of this range. Amazon Nation got cockatoos, tse tse flies, amazon citizens, amazon traders and monkeys. This place is quite popular so you could also try X-Mas 4 elves, but they have a lot cash so most of the time they are killed by superhero moneyrunners. Next 10 or even 12 levels you can get by killing the evil citizens and neutral traders, whom carry enough money to repay for your heals. If you got shocking bite damage weapon, you could try the monsters in MoD, probably 115+. From 100 to 120 kobolds and kobold soldiers are very very nice exp in Dragon Mountain with a magic damage type weapon.

Level 130 - 150: Mountains of Desolation and Casino are places you should spend most time when at this range. Use shocking bite weapon on mobs in MoD, specially yummy are Stone Giant boy, girl, chef and punk. At about level 140 kill gardeners in Amazon, and be ready to spend ALOT money on heals. Peaceful Giant Village has orcs inside the mountain just north from the entrance and spirit of giants after you've entered the altar.

Level 150 - 170: Amazon Nation has visitors and gardeners, PGV has giants and orcs, Arboria has gargoyle watchmen (who don't attack if you have grey aura on, you should ask it from a high level friend) are nice exp. At about 160 you could try duelists, insects, snakes, thieves and assassins in Soulblade different countries. Duelists are weakest and best exp, but most of the time killed.

Level 170 - 201: These would be no problem to get if there were less levellers. School of Horror students, trainers and athletes are nice exp, same goes for Dune guild attendants and navigator, duelists and snakes in SB still give you some exp points, Deadlights first level has very-very many great mobs, but you got to have a blinding spell or sneak to get rid of the aggressive ones. But Deadlights is a hell to get out of if you are there for first 10 times. Dozens of portals, aggro mobs and -moves rooms sure can be annoying. At about 180+ you could try SB pirates. At level 185 you can get a hero to powerup you, usually for a small price, but if you meet a nice hero and make friends with him/her it is almost sure he/she will do it for free. Better get your 1000 quest points for superhero cost collected before level 200, because the quests at level 200 are much harder to complete than at level 190.
