Unquestionably, the Roman military was one of the major driving forces in Roman culture and Western history. To understand the Romans, one must understand their art of war. As we continue our study of Caesar and other topics, we all shall examine different aspects of this important part of Roman life.

Each group will prepare a presentation for the class on their subject area on the specified date. Reports should be about 20 minutes per group. The assignment will be weighted as a test grade and will be worth 100 points.

There will be many different approaches to the different topics, and I will give each of you some ideas and direction. However, all reports must contain these elements:

Be sure to credit all of your sources, even the graphics you use. In using PowerPoint, utilize what is appropriate, but do not make gratuitous use of the ‘bells-n-whistles.’
