I fell in love with the Australian Shepherd
in
1993.
My first Aussie was a beautiful black-tri named Boomer. We competed in flyball, agility, obedience and in ASCA's Altered Conformation program. He was one of the sweetest dogs I have ever known. He died of cancer when he was 8 years old. I got Sheila to keep Boomer company while I was away at work. She was not the brightest dog but her temperament was wonderful. She loved children and playing with toys. Sheila died from cancer when she was 13 years old. Boomer & Sheila were both 5 years old when I decided that it was time for another dog. After doing research and talking to different breeders, I added Teddy to the family. Teddy is a red-tri and he is probably the most trainable dog I have ever had. Nothing bothers this dog. Ted has titled in obedience, herding, agility, flyball, rally and conformation. He was neutered once one of his littermates developed JC. Archie is a red-merle dog and he joined the family after Boomer died. He is 1/2 brother to Teddy and he competes in flyball and agility. His weave poles and box turns are awesome! Ziggy is another black-tri dog. So far he has turned into a master counter-surfer and sneak thief. He has competed and titled in conformation, agility and flyball. The latest addition the crew is Roxy. She is a sweet active Shetland Sheepdog. When she is finished teething on Teddy, Archie and Ziggy, she will be joining the No Speed Limit flyball team. In the fall of 2005, the boys competed at the ASCA Nationals in Georgia and Ziggy competed in one of the shows at the Turkey Cluster over Thanksgiving weekend. See their win photos. Regina Aussies |
