Our Dwelling Place

We've tried to create a modest home with many nooks and crannies to accommodate ourselves, our children, our family and friends and all the interests associated with all. Within these walls are windows to our past, present, and the Lord's bright and ever-unveiling future for us. I hope you enjoy sorting through the menagerie of what makes our place home. Just like our lives, it is a work in progress.

Ourselves
The Homeowners; come meet us. Find out about the Head and the Helpmate, how we met in the realm of the internet and have virtually combined our lives into the reality of one heart.
Our Family
Eight is enough ~ ages nearly FIVE to TwentyFour ~ hmmm... that dates us! Come meet the many personalities of our children!
Our Lives
Come meet more loved ones ~ family and friends ~ and the other joys of our lives.

The Terra

We are grounded in the our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ as the Cornerstone of our lives and steeped in the rich soil of the heritage of our forefathers of African-American descent. From that we have found a common purpose to which we devote our lives to bring forth fruit from our blessings hopefully evidenced within these pages.

Our Calling
The fallout, so to speak, of our common values and concerns are evidenced in writings, links, and other displays scattered about our rafters.

Quotes from the movie Fellowship of the Ring:

"It's a dangerous business, Frodo, going out your door. You step onto the road, and if you don't keep your feet, there's no knowing where you might be swept off to."

"Frodo: I wish the ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened. Gandalf: So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us."

Our Cornerstone
You are invited into our sanctuary, where you'll find opportunity for intimacy and communion, study and worship.
And the LORD said unto him, I have heard thy prayer and thy supplication, that thou hast made before me: I have hallowed this house, which thou hast built, to put my name there for ever; and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually." 1Ki 9:3

Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain. Ps 127:1
Our Heritage
Look into earthiness of the African American native soil - only by knowing from whence we have come can we discern and navigate the map by which we travel.
I shall be telling this with a sigh Somewhere ages and ages hence: Two roads diverged in a wood, and I-- I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference." from the poem The Road Not Taken by Robert Frost.
