Haiti & Security Issues
Haiti used to be one of the most beautiful countries of the Caribbean world with amazing beaches, sunny all the times and a significant attraction for tourism.  In spite of the economic problem the "Perles des Antilles" ( Old french nickname of Haiti) the population has known that in years past there was never any such of security issues like those at present.

What could be the cause of this failure of security in Haiti?

Briefly, there is a problem of Leadership when it comes to public safety.. It seems that some decisions taking are not really analyzed by security experts.
Even we are  all know the educational system of the country does not offer any  discipline which is related to security. Yet, there are some who are versed in security and should come foward to assist with solutions which could be beneficial to all.
Security can't be accomplished by taking chances in decision making but by knowing the impact, the effects and the results...
" It's just a Public Safety Issue that keeps Haiti to  walk to a better future".

HNP & MEMBERS:
No doubt, a complete reform is needed for the Haitian National Police Force  to regain respect from the population. The lack of power  of it's members comes not only from the absence of  a constructive motivation and human resources-effective personel. Also, the absence of some sub-divisions, for example Medical Emergency Team of HNP and others,to respond to a variety urgent situation in order to preserve life and protect the interest of all citizens living in the territory.

Security Tips!
Haiti needs some open doors of Security Conventions to educate the population in helping them to understand the importance of Community Policing and be aware that  without their coperation there is no way the Police can be able to enforce the law in Haiti. Also, the population should be advised of their personal safety. Because of lack of informations, a large percentage of  the people become  victims needlessly. If they had known some of basics they would have been spared tears and grief.

Proper equipment is a must for HNP to  successfully perform their duties.Specially with that high risk alert as it is now in Haiti. The use of necessary supreme force is in need to stop the third party to violate the law and maintain order...

FIGHTING CRIMES

To reduce crimes in Haiti the law enforcement agencies and the public should take their responsibilities by working together in  a real world of partnership. And the HNP as an institution has the obligation to set up the structures to attain this goal, which indeed requires a lot of efforts. It is a long way to go, knowing that everywhere around the world making changes of any kind is really difficult and even more so when it involves National Security and Safety matters. Especially in our case where there is only one institution -Haitian National Police- to face them all. Even tough the problem may appear to be alike, they may vary from group to group. For some it means, it's always been political that causes all these turmoils in our country, for others who are really familiar with the domain of security management for example it's just because the Police fail in its missions. Technically, the percentage of crimes always increase when the  law is not really harsh  on the offenders or the law enforcement

does not respond when they should. Haiti whowever  is crossing  both sides of the above causes, to fight against crimes. What would  help the population in  her dream of peace is to resolve this, which could happen in creating an aspect of  fear  for people to break the law combined  with  an omni-present  Police always to respond to the needs and to provide security. In addition to that for a complete result, a high security jail is needed along with a good system of probation in order to track down the criminals.
To conclude, the National Security and Safety Counsel of the Haitian governement  along with some experts in security, should be able to identify the kind of security system which should be adapted to stop the constant crisis. In other words, they should recognize that for every level of security alert something has to be done immediately, as it is around the world where safety comes first. And beleive it or not the answer to all our security issues is already there. All  the country needs is a good strong leadership team with good common sense and professionalism which know how to handle all aspects of the actual situation.
