Madison West High Renovation
At the West High School 75th year celebration in August
2005, a plea was made to the alumni to donate money to the Ash
Street Renovation project. Beautiful architect drawings were shown of the
proposed landscaping. If electronic versions of these can be obtained, they
will be posted.
As nice as the proposed entrance landscaping is, the building
itself is in great need of repair. Justin Miles Williams of WMTV, Channel
15, posted a story
on this subject. The School district's referenda
that he refers to is for city wide school facility repairs and
hopefully will fix much of the fascia and entrance problems
that were so evident.
