TJ & CASEY'S WEDDING
Home
My son and his girlfriend, Casey Klinker, (I just love her last name!) were married on March 23, 2002. It was a beautiful wedding and yes, I cried. The reception was really fun and we ate and danced and it was a blast. They Honeymooned in Acapulco, Mexico. As soon as I get some pictures of the wedding, and another scanner, I will post some.

QUITTING SMOKING
I finally quit smoking on Jan 1, 2001. Woo Hoo!  I had tried several times before but never could make it more than a few days. But I'd been  told to  just keep on trying, and that hopefully one day, it will work! I quit with several of my friends. Three of them are still not smoking, but the rest of them did not make it this time. My husband has not quit either, but I hope one day soon he does.

I've always remembered a friend of mine saying to me years ago that he could not imagine me with out a cigarette in my hand. I have looked through past photo's of me, with his comment in mind, and it is very difficult to find a picture of me without a cigarette in my hand!

Anyway, I feel really great about quitting and I hope I never smoke again! But I try to remember to do this one day at a time...and not get cocky about it. I know that I get a lot of help and support and that I am not doing it alone.
MOTORCYCLING
I've always been around bikes and people who ride them. Been a passenger quite often, but had never ridden a bike myself. In August of 2001,  I decided I was going to get myself a motorcycle license for my birthday, and I took the MSF course.

I LOVED IT!! I passed the course, and by the end of September I had purchased a new Yamaha Virago 250cc!!  It had one mile on it when I bought it, My first road trip was up to PineTop with my friend Kim (she rides a Triumph). I am glad to live in the Phx Metro area where I can ride pretty much year round.

In June of 2003 I rode with my sister and my brother (I rode my sisters Dyna Low Rider 1400) up to Southern Utah to spend 5 days enjoying the beauty of the Bryce and Red Canyons. . It was the best motorycle trip I'e been on so far. (And boy was it hard to get back on my little 250 after riding that 1400!!)

I plan to experience many more wonderful biking trips to enjoy the beauty of nature.

Most of the stuff on this page is old news. The only new news that bears mentioning I suppose is that in July of 2003, my husband and I decided to end our marriage. So, he's gone now and I'm stll here...moving forward.....one day at a time
