| Rapelling & Rock Climbing |
| I began Rock Climbing and Rapelling about 7 years ago or so. My friend Jim and his friend John taught me how. John has passed away since. Jim and I used to take a group of people out to Papago Park almost every weekend. Usually there were one or two who had rapelled before as well as a few who had never done it. I loved watching new people learn the sport and fall in love with it as I did. One of the last times we rapelled with John, was on a trip we all took to Joshua Tree California. This is a world famous Rock Climbing place. Great rock formations. We camped there in Jim's motorhome and had a great time. The past few years I have not been rapelling. Due to health issues of my own, as well as health issues that Jim has, we have been unable to enjoy this sport. I do hope that I will be able to pick this sport up again one day soon. It is so much fun, its an adrenaline rush, and it helps to keep me in shape. |
