Wyangala Dam Re-Visited.
13-10-2005.
Steve2 organised another Wyangala bike ride. The last one was a great success, its not too far to ride, plenty of eat and drink on the way, and they open up the local club for us for an evening meal that's big enough to choke a horse. The park ranger guy supplies plenty of wood for a nice fire, and we can get pissed and dribble shite to each other until the wee hours of the morning (which we did).  Unfortunately Foxy broke down on the way back, which was a bit of a bummer. We tried all different batteries in his bike but it wasn't going to run properly. In the end, we called Steve1 to come out with his box trailer and rescue him. It was a great couple of days and I look forward to the next one.
Starting point McDonalds Penrith 8 bikes.
Lunch stop The Tattersalls Pub.
Left to right. Wayne (Foxy), Daryl, Jim, Dennis.
Glen, Steve2, Andrew.
You can't beat a good pub lunch.
The road into the dam.
Stop for a cleansing ale first though.
Jim putting his best foot forward.
Daryl looking cold.
Glen looking cool.
Dennis looking hot.
I decided to keep my jacket on.
The water level was still very low. A full dam sees the water up to the brown marks on the stacks on the left side.
Wayne descibing a choke hold (or he might be just taking his helmet off).
Belting down the road the next day on the way home.
Wayne conks out but we made it to a petrol station.
Glen gets comfortable.
It's not happening, so we offer to give the bike the last rites and say we'll bury it for him. Wayne thinks there's hope though, and has a little prayer session.
Steve arrives to the rescue with his box trailer. By this time its dark and cold.
All's well that ends well. It was a good two days for the boys.
