Yes the Festival of Sydney is on again folks. This runs for a few weeks encompassing all sorts of things around the city.
One of the opening events of the Festival of Sydney was the Angels of Light show. It was a free display held in the Olympic Stadium grounds. They describe it on the web site as :-

Of Angels and Light (Degli Angeli e della Luce).

Giant hand-painted helium-filled spheres with suspended angels appear from the heavens.
A beautiful lightshow accompanied by exquisite music captivates audiences as performers spin and dance above their heads.  The supernatural happens high above flying silhouettes, dizzy skywalks, material and ethereal icons float across the sky.

Intricately decorated spheres roll through the crowd, as the acrobats inside dance and mystically float in a space seemingly free of gravity.

It was a really hot evening so we went by motorbike. The car park there is $5 per hour with a maximum of $15.  Motorbikes though are FREE FREE FREE!!!! Had our own little parking bay right near the entrance which of course later became the exit so it was real easy.

Its pretty hard taking digital pics of anything over 10 feet away (with my camera at least) so the pics are pretty bad. You get the idea though.
The web site address for the festival is :-

Shit, I love living in Australia.... Shit I love my motor bike..... Did I tell you this before???
Women as Angels floated above the crowd to music, doing aerial acrobatics. It was a Love story (Ahhhh...), and one of the Angels did an aerial  dance display with a guy on the same wire. Damn cool!!
These were two really big, painted, helium filled ballons, that had a couple of Angels floating underneath.
This was clever. It was a person in a ball which was in a ball!!! Yes, there's a person in the inside ball. These rolled down the middle of the street nearly flattening everyone.
Yeah... O.K. you caught me out... this is not the festival. The next day was beautiful and ideal for a motorbike ride. I'd seen in a tourist brochure a pic of a lookout over the Nepean River. This is at the foot of the blue Mountains, about 45 minutes from where I live. It is called 'The Rock Lookout' How beautiful is this huh??? Right on my doorstep and I didnt even know it was there!!
I always thought Penrith was where you went to search for your car after it got stolen!!!

Have a look at this link:-

It seems the older I get, the faster I have to rush around to see and experience all these things, before I fall off my perch and start pushing up daisies.

I'm going to put my boat in here one day. Did I tell you I love my boat???

Have fun.
