| In years past , a self - taught mechanic may have had all the qualifcations needeed to get started in a local shop or dealership. This is no longer the case. Employers are looking for people with a good background in electronics, computers and communications, along with math and problem solving skills. In this course, students will be introduced to the basics of automotive technology. Through direct instruction on late model automobiles, high - tech equipment, classroom presentation and job shadowing. The course will teach both "Head Skills" and "Hand Skills" to perpare the students for the world of work and to perpare them to meet the needs of prospective employers. |
