Listed here is the basic and essential equipment needed in order to accurately portray a WWII infantry soldier.  We ask that anyone joining our group as an infantry soldier have these items for the sake of authenticity.  It is a large, but one-time investment.  We have several different impressions in our unit, such as a hiwe and a medic, and any impression appropriate for the 135th German infantry is welcome.  That being said, it can't be stressed enough the importance of accuracy with uniforms and equipment.

You'll notice (besides the shelter quarter) there is no camouflage.  This is because our unit didn't use it then, so no one wears it now.  This will not change.

Our membership is concerned with our physical appearance. We try to portray men that belong in front line service. We follow our orders and sometimes that means that we have to move quickly, run, make large flanking sweeps or carry heavy loads.

The use of captured weapons is not permitted within our ranks. We have been known on occasion to re-arm our HIWEs under very close supervision when necessary.

The issuance of medals and awards is done in a structured way and is generally not viewed as a very important part of our impression.

We are often referred to as one of the best looking units in the field. This is because we strive not only for accuracy, but the discipline and persona of a German soldier of that time period. The individual is subordinated to whats best for group as a whole.  Our early war basic infantry look is actually unique in a hobby where everyone wants to be either elite or some late war montage.
