What is the Nordish race? If you’re hearing the term “Nordish” for the first time, you shouldn't be surprised. Nordish is a term coined by Richard McCulloch, a figure well known in racialist ciricles, as an all-inclusive designation for the indigenous racial types of Northern Europe. At first, it appears that the Nordish concept is a commendable effort on McCulloch's behalf to create a sense of unity and brotherhood among Northern Europeans, and I would like to think that this was indeed his intention. However, close examination reveals that the Nordish concept is full of discrepancies that cannot be overlooked by any rational individual, and that, intentionally or unintentionally serve more as an agent of disunity rather than unity among Northern Europeans.
No physical anthropologist or geneticist has yet recognized the Nordish race as a genuine taxonomic division of humanity. This is due to the fact, that until very recently no one has considered propsing an all-purpose designation for all the indigenous racial types of Northern Europe. Phenotypically, Northern Europe is perhaps the most heterogenous are in the world, as it is genetically. The blonde, milky white skinned, pale-eyed sightly Mongoloid East Baltic differs prodigiously from the dark, doliocepahlic Paleo-Atlantid, and the red-headed Bruenn is very differnt, both phenotypically and genotypically from the long-headed, platinum blonde Hallstatt Nord. In fact, all physical anthropologists recognize the large difference between these various racaal types and classify them into seperate categories. Thus, it is utterly irrational to postulate the exitence of a genotypically/phenotypically unfied "Nordish" race, as it can only be understood as a geographic concept, but even when one considers it as such, ambiguities and discrepancies arise.It should also be noted that McCulloch uses the racial classification system of Dr. Carlton Stevens Coon (a man who himself did not entertain the thought of unifying Northern Europeans under one banned). Though Dr. Coon was recognized in his time as a titan of physical antrhopology, and most of his material concerning Northwestern Europeans is still very useful, many of his theories have long been discredited, first by physical anthropology, then by genetics. Of special concern to us are Dr. Coon's hypotheses regarding the physcial anthropology of the Northern Slavs and their origin. In this regard Dr. Coon's theories are especially outdated, incomplete, and above all inaccurate, which is why a substantial portion of this website will be dedicated to making avilable reliable information concerning the physical anthropology and genetic origin of the Northern Slavs, both subjects long misunderstood. misconstrued and ignored in the Western World. This particular feature of McCulloch's Nordish concept is also one responsonsible for creating division between Northwestern and Northeastern Europeans. This inaccurate dichotomy, whether intentionally or unintentionally endorsed by McCulloch justifies many people's preconceived notions of a mongrelized Northeastern Europe (especially the Northern Slavs) and a pure, Nordic Northwestern Europe. As we shall demonstrate later, this dichotomy is as flawed as it is conducive to disunity.
To summarize; lumping Northern Europeans under a single designation has never made sense historically, and makes no more sense now than it ever did. This website will be dedicated to an objective critique of the Nordish concept and what we preceive to be its most serious falws, in order to draw McCulloch and his supporters into a dialogues. Hopefull, with time, Richard McCulloch will ammend the errors in his system, or discard it all together in favor of something more reaosnable.
